i guess it's about time to do a wrap up of the year post, just that i'll be doing 2009 and 2010 since the last two years didn't feel any different, and were all mainly centered over the though of OMG O LVLS! i don't really know how to do these kinds of posts in a non-awkward way so i'll just do it my way

THINGS I'M THANKFUL FOR
Investiture
Even though the teachers kept screwing everything up for us and our traditions were taken away, on the day itself everything doesn't matter and everyone just does their best to put up a great show. I guess it is like a learning experience, being able to contribute a lot more this year, and it was almost like a dream wanting to be able to do that since i joined SCPB
and it's only in the PB where everybody can sing and act, no matter whether you're in a sports cca or a club or a society or whatever ;)

Media
I don't know what my mondays would be like without this for 2 years. No regrets taking media over triple science whatsoever, even though filming was a bitch, editing was a bitch, staying back till 6 sometimes could be a bitch. But i do feel i learnt quite a bit from media, about current affairs and other people and all sorts of things.
All the inside jokes, the laughing, the zebras, kallang slashers, pixels, tiger, sososososososo much would never ever give this up.

Chinese Class
Another thing i looked forward to every day/week even though my chinese is horrible and still is. Chinese class was the funnest, something i could tell from the moment half of 2gy walked into the classroom on that first day of school i knew that. The only place I felt comfortable and it was so much fun being able to shout across class have have squidward giving us her fake angry face and those moments when lao shi was like "F-U! F-U" when we were asking her how to read a word. Watching movies and crying like I Not Stupid 2 and the Firefly monster forest thingum and the kite show. Loved this class sfm

SCMUN
i'm so glad i did this even though it did cause me to lose a lot of my dedication to badminton. It was something I'm totally not used to, having to learn protocol and do a lot of research, and in depth research too at that too, so my general knowledge has improved. Slightly. I mean, i bet if i hadn't joined MUN i wouldn't have had tricia losing her head telling me "OMG you're in Security Council how can you NOT know???" when I was asked what a veto was.

and when we were not being scolded or dying trying to prepare for presentations or going through protocol tests, we did crazy things like running around the dark room 100 playing with chairs, playing magic carpet in the hall, making waffles, karaoke partying, dancing, having gay couples in EVERY council, council outings, mass convos and so much more

YOG
honestly, i had nothing to do with this, but it was fun and it was something to take our minds of o's even though they were fast approaching. The rush to the YOG Opening cermony rehearsal, standing by the roads cheering like crazy as nat ran by holding the torch, going for the badminton and gymnastics finals which makes you feel so inferior, the fangirling at gymnasts like andrei muntean and yuya kamoto. it's good to be part of history, even though it's the teeniest part. I think it was osm even though everyone else says it was a fail (:

PEOPLE I'M THANKFUL FOR
Mum
i mean i rmb getting really pissed with her over the last two year a lot, she really helped me for the o lvls, making sure i got my meals everyday, and good ones at that. I really liked going for breakfast early in the morning and then lunch. And especially those times when i screw up and i end up having to rush like crazy, like for the yog opening ceremony rehearsal and when i woke up almost late for my chinese o's and she zoom zoomed me all the way, and made it there every single time, early. and she didn't even scold me so that is really something to be grateful for

friends
people everywhere, who are always there. From people in class who helped me to feel like I belonged through the two years, people who will listen to me rant/complain, listen to me talk about the everyday mundane things, people who would do fun and stupid things, go for concerts, talk for hours <3 there are just so many people that were able to lift my mood when i was down and make the year so much better idek how to express it

SCPB
In general, for the 3 amazing years i spent in this family. Since joining in sec 1 i had wanted to be in exco, and i'm so glad i ended up there. I learnt so much from being part of it, even though i got stressed out sometimes. And i'm sososo proud I was able to head PSR and i'm so proud of my juniors and so grateful for them for being amazing and always listening to what i say and doing what they are asked to do <3

SCBT
Things got so complicated towards the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, but i'm just glad we didn't completely lose it and i get these all contribute to life experiences and 2009 was very fun with SCBT, doing weird things and never failing to have a cake fight during everyone's birthday

idek how to do this post properly my brain is half dead now, and anyway it's finally reached 2011. 2009 was a down year for me, but 2010 got infinitely better, despite having o's, so i'm hoping i never peak and life just keeps going up from here.
the list is not exhaustive by the way, i'm pretty sure i missed out a lot of things but i just can't rmb rn
New chapter of life starting, and i guess i'm ready for it.

Sara and Soujiroh. Nuff said. Boring shizz. But the tokyo tower thing was kinda cute in a cheesy way

Any girl there was (ayano, umi, shigeru) and Domyouji BC DOMYOUJI AND MAKINO BELONG TO EACH OTHER

Sara-san who was only around for a couple of episodes in season 2? The story line really bored me like who the heck gives a beeswax about you?? She's so irrelevant i can't even find a picture of her when googling

I have to say Junpei-kun cos he's another one that made the first episode of season 2 really long and draggy and kinda boring /: Even though it's toma, and toma is a qt (not that i recognised him when i first watched it)

mmmm same as above ^ he's a fail bad guy totally didn't get his way. at all. except hurt makino, who he liked. so wtf dude, be a better villain

his storyline with the sara girl in season 2 really just was not interesting and he's horribly mean for constantly avoiding yuki even though she can be a little clingy but still!!
and he really is not good looking (sorry matsuda shota)

if something had actually happened between soujiroh and yuki!! no story development at all, unlike the korean version (i think)

i've only watched two, and since i love the japanese version and not the korean, then it's the korean. sorry. the main girl really annoys me. like really. and so does lee minho's hair. and the hanazawa rui just does not match up to oguri shun!!

but i don't really feel that happy
i think christmas can only feel really festive if everybody else gives a damn about making it feel festive.

Another super melodramatic story about how someone is going to die bc of some health problem really young, but it's inoue mao (hanadan!!) and masaki okada (sekime in hana kimi) which i think is really cute
this apparently showed in singapore in october so i'm a little D: why didn't i know and why didn't i watch (not that i could have bc it would be realllyyy close to the o's)

this movie is gorgeous!!!!!!!!! i cried so much watching it it's really beautiful
i think inoue mao is just about the awesomest actress out there and she's so pretty (:

it somehow manages to really engage you when you're watching and the mood is just right for all the scenes, compared to the korean series, i tend to laugh at the scenes that should have a serious mood - which rly shouldn't be so.
so many OL emotions watching this version and their acting is so good, you really feel for the characters (,:
