Doing the PA System duty is so fun! If you stay inside duringflag-raising, you get air-con! And you get to press BUTTONS!! =D And if you go outside... You have to read announcements. Scary. But I haven't done the announcement-reading yet... And you get to stick this wire into a hole! And set up the microphone stand, and push this big, heavy box! =)

Anyway, I have to agree with Pei Li, THE INTERNET ROCKS! Thanks to the internet, I've watched High School Musical 2, though not very clear, but still. It's ok, I feel that the first movie is more catchy. Like, the songs in the second movie aren't as sing-a-long-ey. =) Here are my favourite songs from the movie! Last Saturday, I went to watch the King and I at the Esplanade. My mum and I were supposed to meet my sister at 6.45pm and we ended up leaving the house at that time. Plus, my sister was there like 10 minutes early.

We reached there 7.05pm and we went to the restaurant. My sister thought that my second sister was coming too so she ordered food for four people but thank goodness we were hungry and we managed to gobble up the food. The food was GOOD

After using the toilet we rushed to the theatre even though it was only the first warning bell... So the show started... It was kind of nice. Kind of funny. I've never watched the musical version, only the movie version. There was a 20 minute break and then we went back in a finished watching the show.

I'm kind of stupid because when the curtain went down, I leaned over to my mum and asked,"It's over?" I didn't even know the king died! I was just like, ok, the son is asking people to bow to him, then the curtain went down. =) I wanted to go to Mrs Fields but it was like, 11 when it ended...

This week was health week and my activities were all non-water ones since I don't even have a swim certificate. So I did ice-skating and cheer leading.

Had ice-skating on Monday and Thursday and both were ultra fun! On Monday it was only me and Tisa who went. It was really fun even though all we could do we skate around the rink... We didn't go for the lessons because we didn't know we could learn the advanced moves. So that's basically all we did. Oh yeah! I found out I'm hopeless at teaching people how to skate!

On Thursday it was me, Pei Wei, Sha, Julia and Tisa. We skated around the first few times and then later we joined the advanced class. I learned how to jump a half turn! It's so cool! I learned how to like, skate on one leg for like, 3 seconds and I can't split my legs open for nuts. Julia attempted to teach me how to skate backwards but I can only move like, 2cm. Awesome isn't it? Oh oh, on the bus to the ice-skating rink, Julia and I were filling in this Malay paper with random words we found in the paper and then asked Sha and Tisa to translate. One of our sentences was something like,"Chicken, dog, door..." Ok. Can't remember it anymore. On the way back Pei Wei, Sha, Tisa and I played the ABC game.

Yesterday was cheer leading... Whoever said it was a sport for bimbos should go try it out. It is SO not! I went with Sha for it. Well, basically, we did some stretching first, and then the people who didn't go on Tuesday(a.k.a me and sha) were taught how to climb onto your friend's shoulders. It was like, carrying your own weight! Ultra painful on the shoulders and you're already having tons of help. After that, the coach lifted us on his shoulders and was like, bouncing us around which is uber scary!! Sadly, my weight is average. So I wasn't light enough to be a flyer or strong enough to be a base. All I did was to support Sha. I definitely didn't sweat much. At the end, the guy wanted us to all do shoulder lifts and like, take a picture. It was SO painful holding Sha up there that I stumbled and nearly made her fall down! SORRY SHA!!!!<

After cheer leading, I accompanied Sha and we went to the prefects room where we hung out till about 5. It was fun looking around inside. It's like, ultra cool!! So afterwards we left..

Two weeks ago, I went to the Ducktours with me mum. I don't know why we decided to do it, but we did and it was quite cool. When we were lining up to buy the tickets, there were really a lot of tourists there so we were like,"let's act foreign!" But when it got to our turn, the lady was like,"Are you local? If you are you get a 30% discount" So we dropped the foreign thing...

We had some tea and walked around before going for it. First we went to the sea, which was pretty much the more interesting part. It was quite cool. I got pictures of like, the ferris wheel and merlion, the esplanade and the floating platform... There were these quizzes where the guide was giving out these duck whistles which are quite annoyingly cute. I missed the easiest question so I ended up not getting any... =(

Then we went to the land, which wasn't much. We just drove by the Padang and stuff... Oh oh, I passed by my sister's float! It's really funny! Didn't spot her though. So that was about it...

It was fun plus, I haven't gone out with my mum alone in ages! So cool mans! Oh oh, at the back of one of the boats, I saw that it said,"We have the cutest butts!" I thought that was SO cute!!

Hmmm... I got to school really early that day, and honestly, I didn't actually need to. I reached school at like, 6.45!! And then I stuffed my bag in the prefects room, met Tisa and we were walking around inside, looking at all the super cool stuff! =) Then we had to go meet Ms Leong and I thought I had to do duty but I really didn't and so I went back to the track.

So basically what I did, with Sha, Tisa and Chuan En, was to stand at the stands and give out programs to all the parents who had come to watch. It was quite fun I guess. Better than standing on the field and blacking out. So we had the same old, same old.

Then after the ceremony we went to sit down with the sec 1's and watch the performances... There was like, NCC, which basically reminded me of what the Red Cross did last year, then the gym which was ultra cool because they "gym-ed" to Rihanna's "Shut Up and Drive" and like, we were cheering for crazy for Hui Qi. Then there was the usual Primary School aerobics. This year, they did aerobics in dresses and they had to lie on the ground and kick their legs in the air! At least they were wearing underpants. The crowd went crazy for them because they were adoraBLE! Oh, there was the Primary School Choir who performed. They did the same thing as the choir concert, still lip-synching. Gah.

So then, the most fun part, the singing! Sha, Tisa and I stood together in front with the rest of the crowd and we were super enthu! =) We were jumping up and down and I should think I was going out of tune but it was fun. I tried blowing bubbles but it kept ending up in people's faces. Oops. We tried to find Pei Wei, Cyn, Julia and all. I ended up finding them, but got seperated from Sha and Tisa. Turns out, Cyn's afraid of bubbles! =) Then we found Sha, kept singing.

Finally the actual celebration ended but it was only like, 9.20 and the official let out time for schools was 10 so we all helped to pick up the stuff from the field and then we listened to Ling Yu's "Where does Mickey Mouse live?" joke and we played the bomb game. =) It was fun, very time-killing. So finally we were let out... Yay! I walked with Julia and Tisa to the bus stop.

Bleh. Had oral yesterday. Reached school at 9.40 when I was supposed to be there at 10. Loads of people were there already though. So that's ok. I helped to collect hand phones and stuff... Wrapped around with paper and rubber bands... Then everybody was led to the holding room. My duty along with Shen-nen, Natalie and Zahirah was to keep the people in the holding room quiet so that other people could concentrate on their oral...

But of course, I had my oral first. I don't think I should say anything because some people didn't do it. I think Mrs De Silva was laughing at me when I was reading but perhaps she had a cough. I think my picture discussion was ok... Conversation... I totally failed the first question but after that it went quite well.

So we "shhh"ed a lot, ate curry puffs and chocolate swiss rolls, tried exchanging duties... Talked. Sadly. But yes we did that. Before we knew it, the last group was going... So after that we had to rearrange the tables in the three rooms, room 98, 99 and 100. At first it was pretty tiring. But then, Mariann had this genius idea and started sliding chairs and tables to some random person and that random person would put the table in position. So we did that. Like, 3 people were sliding(me, Zahirah and Mariann) and then people would rearrange.

So finally oral was officially over! I learnt all the names of the prefect's on duty with me! Yay!

Whee! Today was the National Day rehearsal in school. I sort of forgot so I was sort of wodnering why the courtyard was empty. But it didn't take me that long to figure out. I saw Carolyn in the classroom and we were about to go off together when Megan came. Then Megan rushed to put her bag down and we were starting off again, Julia came so we waited for her. Finally we reached teh field. Pei Wei, Cyn, Darrelle, Lindee and loads of others were there already. We just hung until we had to go to position.

The grass was wet so the water was sort of splashing onto me. I realised that the secondary school doesn't really give a shit about staying at attention. I really tried but it didn't really work. Anyway, the usual national day rehearsal stuff, felt a bug biting me. Yucks.

Went to position which is now at the opposite end of the track. Pretty good position though. Must try to get a seat near the... Wait. I'll have to go to the sports complex. Darn it! Anyway, they played music while we moved to position. Farisha, Tisa, Rukaya and I were singing away. And we were trying to be enthu, but when we did something, nobody would follow so we'd eventually stop. It's very sad(d?)ening. After singing we watched the NCC people perform.

Then we went onto the field and started singing. The crowd was more enthu now and GY and SE were combining to do the Kallang wave. The first bit was like "WHOOSH!" But then towards the end it would die. Haha... Tisa, Rukaya, Farisha and I were doing the action for the Five Stars arising. =) So after singing a lot, then we went back to class...

I'm going to have to help to enthu-sise people on Wednesday too! Yays. At least Tisa, Farisha and Alanna will be there too!
