OMG I FEEL HAPPINESS INSIDE.
JAMES BOURNE who used to be in BUSTED twitcammed and then I tweet chatted and then he REPLIED to it on twitcam!
In case you have forgotten who he is, or how he looks like:

Just that he doesn't really look like that now. He looks more messed up. HAHA. But he just woke up from bed then. So.
ULTIMATE HAPPINESS. Not that I love him so much, but it is SO COOL.

Now Thomas Michael Fletcher just needs to get started on that too.

Back from KL trip! (:
The Kl trip was 3 days of training and hard work and tiredness, 1 day of shopping, 1 day of travelling, 4 nights of fun and some other ups and downs along the way.

Joellyn and Sa are the meanest, yet most effective wake up calls. They would knock and call and come into the room and pull our blanket away and try to pull my pants off and tickle me. BAH.

Antje is the best roommate in the way that we both think the same when it comes to getting up and stuff, though the repetition of Wedding Dress by Taeyung countless times during the stay there kind of made me sianz ttm. HAHA, bad in the way that we both can't wake up in the morning and hence need Joe and Sa.

Day 1
Woke up at 5am and got to school at 6am. D:
Slept for half the trip, watched twilight - annoying joe joe with wenhui, pf and my squealing along the way.
Stopped along the way for a snack and for lunch. Hahah lunch was fun.
Ms Lin loves bell peppers a lot! :D

Checked into the Hilton when we reached there then went off for training.

D:

Training was actually nothing that much different from the normal training we have in school, just that there were more coaches, so they could give us more attention.
The physical was quite killer - running, footwork and step-ups on the really high benches.
But I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking through with it and not giving up along the way.
And they told us that that was only the warm-up for the next few trainings.

We went to Midvalley Megamall for dinner at the food court. We went around afterwards, shared two scoops of Baskin Robbins with Sa. Super good stuff.
When PF and Wenhui went off to go do some shopping, Antje, Siew, Joe, Sa and I went to some Pet Wonderland or something and we looked at all the animals. There were like the normal kind, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, then there were the tarantulas and the iguanas which were really disgusting.
QUESTION: does anyone know what the name of Jason's iguana in Foxtrot?
I totally forgot!
The dogs were really cute! There was one dog which looked like a teddy bear who would keep biting the man's jeans, then there was this chowchow who would chase the other dogs around. We were like some crazy fans or something trying to reach out and touch the dogs. One of the dogs bit my toes!

We went back to the hotel and made videos. Haha. Would post them here if Je didn't private the videos on youtube!

Day 2
Training the whole day. It was really tiring! The first physical really killed me. We had to run 10 returns along five courts in 3 minutes and 30 seconds, meaning that we had to run each return in 33 seconds. Which is insane. I finished it in like 3 minutes and 42 seconds or something like that, and that was with Ms Lin running next to me, telling me to push my arms harder or make my steps bigger. I wanted to just drop dead then and there.

I totally didn't feel like eating lunch after that, but had to force myself to anyway, if not I would have suffered more during the afternoon training.

The afternoon physical was not as tiring as compared to the morning one for sure, but still tiring. I really hate squat and splits!

giant racket!

Went to Subway for dinner. Omg, that was the worse dinner of the whole trip. The group leaders had to order the food for the whole group, and there are like 38 people trying to clammer to get food first, and my group, though called group 1 ended up ordering last.
I got so stressed because people would just keep telling me that they were hungry and that they were wanted to eat, as if I didn't want to right!
Then the man who was taking the order from me didn't quite listen properly, and then I ordered something wrongly which made me feel terrible.
Yin Ling was really a big help because she handled the cookies for me and then would help to give out the sandwiches (though she did give out a couple wrongly). THANKS A LOT LING.

We went to Giant after dinner to buy some food to eat at night. Antje, Siew, Pei Fen and I were like in this alley just looking around, when suddenly this man suddenly asked us if we knew where the Chinese restaurant was and we were like we don't know. Then he asked us where we were from and said that he was going to go there. Then he said he was with his wife, and this woman walked into the alley then. Then he started asking us about Singaporean currency and he kept bugging us to see a 50 dollar note and we kept saying that we didn't have one, then he took Antje's WHOLE wallet and started looking through it! When he couldn't find it he turned to mine but I refused to let go of it. We were so freaked out and Siew went to find Mrs Wong and Ms Miranti. Later, we saw the woman he claimed to be his wife with another man who was probably her real husband. We were all so scared.

We went back to the hotel room and Antje seriously freaked out! Like whenever the door was knocked because the bdf people were coming over, she would shout "LOOK THROUGH THE DOOR HOLE LOOK THROUGH THE DOOR HOLE". We made more videos at night. It's seriously very fun! HAHA.

Day 3
Training was pushed back in the morning, thankfully. This training wasn't very tiring because we were playing against Malaysian State players later in the afternoon. We played the one-hit game and then did some light training. Physical also wasn't bad because it was very little footwork and very little footwork. Phew.
We gave the coaches some gifts and then took pictures with them.

Had lunch at the same place as the day beofre, food wasn't all that great.

Went to the KLBA in the afternoon, the places in malaysia as compared to Singapore are really rundown, like the roof at the KLBA would leak, leaving puddles of water in some courts, rendering them unplayable in.

We played against people who were like either our age or younger, and well, lost pretty badly to them, quite obviously. Some of the guys there were so annoying! Like yellow shirt boy would laugh at Qiqi when she couldn't get the shot or when she fell down. Then turquoise shirt boy also. Like they would keep smiling for no reason! There was only one nice white and green shirt boy who was really nice to angeline, like he never smashed her at all, and would only drop.
We then presented them with our sad, pretty darn pathetic gifts (think, 2006 childrens' day bags with 2009 national day highlighters, etc) and we wanted to run away and never see their faces again because we were so embarrassed!

We had dinner at the A&W behind our hotel, ordering for me wasn't that bad anymore, because I just made them order themselves. Antje and I went to gossip with the sec 1's which was actually really fun, I'm so glad that they are really bonded now.

Went to Wenhui's room at night. Nearly thought I lost the room key, but it turned out to be in Joe and PF's room, thank goodness. ML went on spot check really early and chased us all back to our room even though we didn't have training or anything the next day.
But Joe and PF came over to our room later since we were separated from the rest of the people and we gossiped until later at night then they left. Then Antje and I couldn't really sleep so we kind of just lay in bed and talked some more until 1. That was really fun and I think we really grew closer during that hour or so.

Day 4
Went bowling in the morning at Sunway Pyramid. Damn I suck. The highest I got was like 50+ hahhaha! Wenhui was like sucking at the beginning, but then suddenly she like bloomed and got like 90+ for her games! We were all like whoaaaaaaa.

After bowling, the bdf split up again to do different stuff. Siew, Sa and I went to the arcade to play. It was all like kiddy versions of games we usually play. Like there was this really kiddy version of DDR, where the songs you could dance to were like Mary Had a Little Lamb and When the Saints Go Marching In. And then there was also this "shooting" game where you are exterminators and you have to spray the insects in the screen using these little spray guns.
My air hockey is absolutely fail! Out of the 7 points that Sa got from me, I think ALL of them I ended up scoring own goals -_-

So after we played most of the games, we went walking around. Siew and I got pretzels, and then we found a shop that was selling these mountains of gummies and sweets, and they were giving testers. So Sa and I just made our rounds trying whatever we wanted. HEHE. At least Siew bought something! Then we saw ML going to eat lunch at the Chicken Rice Shop so we went in and sat with him and he bought us Pai Tee. HEHE. The Pai Tee was really good though!

Due to the load of food we ate, I couldn't finish my lunch. It was really spicy because it was Black Pepper chicken chop. We all felt a little tired after that.

Then we went to this chocolate gallery selling overpriced homemade chocolate. Couldn't really find any of the testers, and didn't dare to go to the toilet so it was pretty boring. China old lady pissed me off by squishing her way through the crowd. I successfully stuck 3 stickers on Sarah's back without her noticing, until everybody else started doing it and she noticed.

Went to Metrojaya Times Square. Had some starbucks first, attempted to use the free wireless, but it was so slow! Joe noticed that most of the people using computers there were playing Farmville! HAHA. Then we went to take a look at the indoor theme park that ML had disallowed us to go to. The rollercoaster is really freaky, not only because there is a 360 degree turn, but also because it doesn't look all that sturdy and safe. We got scared just wacthing it!

There was also this ride which we had thought was the roller coaster, but actually it was a ride that would just go round and round in circles at a high speed. Sa and I thought that the train was just really long at first.

Following that, we went shopping for gifts for the teachers. We tried bargaining, but it really didn't work all that well. We got magnets for Mrs Wong, Patrick Star for Ms Miranti, a Garfield bolster for Ms Hanifah, the Nightmare Before Christmas slippers for Ms Lin and a Mr Bean bear for Mr Lau. Haha!

We also bought like a team watch. It's like this watch that has cute cartoon character designs (i.e. Ben 10, hello kitty, winnie the pooh) and it would have this laser that would have a light of that character. So the wohle bdf got it, but there was a lot of trouble because some of the watches wouldn't work. We ended up being late to report back to the meeting point and had to run through the whole mall, which was actually quite fun. Our punishment was carrying the pizzas for dinner.

"Oh! OHMYGOD! It moves!"

We had dinner in Je and my room. Then we went a bit wild, and totally messed up and stunk up the room! Siew, PF and Antje ate mangoes in the toilet, leaving droplets of mango juice and skin all over the basin. Then there was food all over. When I went to bathe and Joe and PF's room, Sa apparently tried toilet papering the sofa and TV. Failing which, she toilet papered antje.

We went up to the teacher's rooms to give them our gifts, but the young female teachers had all gone out to shop! So we went back down to the room and played Truth or Truth for a while. Finally we went back up and gave the gifts and such.

There was also this room on the level that most of the people were on that had these drunken men inside, singing and making a hell lot of noise. I never saw them, but apparently they were big, burly, indian men who were three times joe's size, so it was pretty scary! Some of the rooms in that level also had smoke in their bathrooms. We wanted to go to their room and scare them with Antje the Mummy, but we decided that we would probably get beaten up first.

I dont' quite understand how some of the juniors can be so rude and disrespectful. They blamed the teachers for slamming the door on their faces, and told them to go away because they were trying to do something. It really pissed me off so when they were going to close the door on our faces I kind of just scolded them. I really doubt that they listened though.

Day 5
Had a really rushed breakfast in the morning and we just bascally spent the whole day travelling in the bus. I think I slept most of the way. We were supposed to watch 2012, but the audio was realllyyy bad, so we didn't. Reached home at like 5.

Title ; love the skin you're in!

Do you ever get that feeling that sometimes you are so insignificant as compared to some people you know?
Or that feeling when you envy something so much and you just want to be a part of it, or you wish that it could be like that for you because of what you hear other people say?

I think I've kind of been having that feeling for the whole year, that's somewhat why I haven't been enjoying it. But it just feels great, when you have those moments when you realise that there's something about that person or thing that you want that makes you appreciate yourself again. It's not as if there's something terribly wrong with it, it's just that you realise it's not the type of person you want to be, or you realise that it's not like what people say it is.

That's what I found out a few weeks ago. I somehow envied how some people can manage their time so well, do well in studies, be popular, etc. Then one day, BAM. I noticed something that just suddenly made me proud to be me and that I wouldn't want to be anything else other than that. I guess it has to do with the values that you live by, everybody has different values, and when I realised that the person that I kind of envied's values are just different from mine, it really just stopped me from envying that person.

Then, the whole year I have felt totally out of place in class. Like whenever there's free time, everybody would just break out into their cliques, and I wouldn't have one, so I'd end up doing work instead, which is just sad and I hated it. Then I always hear how the other class is so enthu, and they're the most bonded class in the level and such. And I kind of envied them, thinking that they were the 2GY of 2008. But then I had to sit in that class for a day for enrichment, and then I realised it totally wasn't like 2GY. Yes, they probably are bonded and are enthu, but the people who make up that class are not like the people that 2GY had. It's not a bad thing really, it's just a difference. And then I realise that I am thankful for my class now, if I had been there, I think I'd be worse off than I think I am now.

So my lesson is learnt, no matter who it is, what it is, there's always flaws, or just differences that makes you special.

But then again, there are the people who I have yet to find flaws of. The people who seem so talented, intelligent, popular and whatever, the whole package as people may call it. I mean, there are so many people who just admire them. Like really, really admire them. First hand experience. And I just wonder, how the heck do people do that? That is something really wow.

But till I figure out how, I still love me (:

So, prefects' camp was last week. I don't really know what to make of it. It was the most tiring thing ever. The day would go something like this:
Wake up in the morning
Go to school
Eat catered lunch after school
Go for camp which is basically a lot of brainwork, proposals, presentations and such.
Go to sleep late

And then wake up for school again the next day.
I guess it was quite fun, it didn't feel much like the camp I had in sec 1 with Su, even though Su was there as well. I was in ENIGMA, with Smalley, See-toh, Amierah, Vicky, Pei Yi, Kelyn, Megan, Ellis and Beverly. (:

The food at the camp was good (: but I don't know, this camp didn't have the same effect as the first camp did.
And that was the last one I'd be having ever.
I think it was the having to go to school that kind of ruined it.

On the last night, we stayed up so late, that by the time we finished debrief and stuff it was 4+am already. So 12 of us (tis, debbie, siew, celine, ruth, gaya, shana, meiyin and sha) went to Mr Prata with Ms Lee and Mrs Fern. It was 5am and we walked towards CCAB, making a lot of noise on the way and it was very fun (:
I had an ice-cream prata (yes, 5am, I know) and we just talked a lot. I can't really remember what happened, I think that's what a hangover is like right? Haha
We still had school that day, so the teachers bought us Red Bull to drink so that we'd stay awake in school.

And that, was the first ever time I stayed awake for more than 24hours. No, I didn't even do that during twentyfour, thank goodness. I have totally learnt my lesson now.

Red Bull has this really weird taste, according to tisa it's liquified candy, but I think I would've enjoyed that. So I drank it up anyway, and then we went around going "GOOD morning, _____" to everyone we saw. By the time we got to the LT for chem lesson, I died. I slept through the whole thing and I had to get JY to teach me how to do it. I basically slept through every lesson.

I'd like to thank ANGANG for helping me highlight my SS notes, because I really turned off then.

So finally school ended and we could go home, Smalley's mum brought me back and I felt like really sick in the car, the puking feeling. So I did when I reached home. Terrible feeling. I slept for very very long afterwards and then I didn't go to school for the next two days.

I went for Parent's Night on Friday evening even though I didn't go for school that day, because I don't know, I really wanted to. Now everything I'm doing with the PB would be the last time I can do it. And I had missed parent's night last year, so no way I was going to miss it again. My mum didn't even come though.

It was semi-fun I guess. Sat in the dark, secluded little loner corner with huijun, momo, xingyi and pleebo. But it was fun (: Then afterwards I went down to the lobby to await my mum's sms reply but it never came, so I kind of sat next to a lot of people who would just come by. Then went back up to help clear up and then camwhore a little and then went home.

Title ; we'll make the great escape

Haven't updated for exactly 2 weeks! And so much has happened. Yay so I think I'll make posts about different random events that has happened (:

Penang Kedah trip with exco!
This is actually one of my favourite school trips that I've been on, first one will always be Kinabalu because that was just utterly amazing and it made me do things I thought I never could (: But anyway, this trip. We kind of found out we were going to go for it a week before the trip, so it was completely out of the blue. My first thought of it was that it would be actually really cool because it was so impromptu and spontaneous. What's more is that it is an honour, only 12 people from the whole school were asked to go, and those 12 people included me. In addition, it was like a getaway. Just this sudden trip you take to get away from life, horrible exam results etc. The scary part was that we were travelling with two of the principals and one teacher, for 8 of us.

Roadside chendol

Look at the amount of FOOD!

Peranakan Museum where they filmed Little Nyonya!

Tau sa pia place

ME + YOU, I'MMA TELL YOU 1 TIME.

The trip really isn't like any other school trips, because unlike other school trips, there wasn't actually a planned out, structured itinerary. Like we could randomly stop at a roadside to go eat chendol or spend horrendously long times starving while waiting to eat famous char kway teow, and we also didn't have any lights out or anything, so we could stay up as late as we wanted, camwhoring, playing cards, doing crazy things.

I think the school visit itself was really enriching, you don't often get to visit schools from another country and see how they run their things, and the way they run their things is really different. Like they have 3 different uniforms for the school, 1 for prefects, 1 for muslim students, and 1 for non-muslim students. They showed us this arts and crafts exhibition that the students did, and the things that they made were amazing! Like shirt folders, and the one thing that was really fascinated me, was this egg carton folded into two, one way up it would be a castle, you turn it around it was an office. It's so creative! We also met the exco from the school, I remember some of their names! Hana, Jocelyn, Raihan, Sasha... :D The 60th PB is one lucky bunch of people.

We were stuffed this trip. Like really. The first night, we went to this hawker centre kind of place, and everytime the principals left the table, they'd come back with 3 more plates of food. And we were all bloated till the food reached our throats or something.

Everywhere we went was fun, because we can talk non-stop and we would sing everywhere we went, in the van, in a train, along the roads. Favourite songs to sing: A, A, ME + YOU, I'MMA TELL YOU ONE TIME, JAIII HOOOOOO, etc. etc. It was so fun! The newest invention, and fad I'm gonna tell you that, because it's hell catchy: TTMAM (tee-tee-ma'am). To the Max and MORE! Gaya kept saying t-tam at first, but after several corrections she finally got it right, and she says it everywhere now.

Then night times, omg, night times. I love my hotel roomies TTMAM. :D:D Gaya, Shana and Shen-nen are the CRAZIEST, FUNNEST people to room with. Night times were where the real fun happened. Camwhored like crazy, we became rap stars, gaya was gross throwing things everywhere, listening to Gaya's tamil music on her phone, camwhoring, playing cards, singing, camwhoring, laughing till we wanted to die.

The second night was so WTH. Shen-nen and I were in bed, ready to go to sleep, and then suddenly we heard the doorbell ring. So Shen-nen went to look through the peep-hole and no one was there. We asked Shana and Gaya, and they told us they didn't do it. So then we were like, NEVER MIND. LET'S GO TO SLEEP. But then after like five minutes, the door bell rang again. So Shen-nen and I kind of screamed and ran over to Shana and Gaya's room and crammed ourselves into their bed. So four of us were squished in one bed, and Gaya refused to sleep in front of the mirror so she kept crawling over Shen-nen and Shana to keep out of the mirror. I slept on about 1/10th of a pillow that night. The next day, Gaya conveniently told us that the second time the door bell rang, it was them. Shen-nen and I were like OMGWTHBBQ.

On the plane ride back, Shana and I sat next to this American man, who apparently was a farmer, then worked for Bush, and is now a CEO of some company because Obama came in and he was the democratic party or something. Everyone I tell this to tells me that he was lying to our faces, but I don't really know about that, it's kind of a hard story to come up with right? He tried to help us get the day off after. HAHA, totally failed.

I finally understand the reasoning behind Fart-lanna.
