Title ; Aviva week

I think it's been a pretty good week (:
With the exception of having my hair cut too short so I now have a gross fringe, but whatever. It'll grow back.
This week was AVIVA OPEN. :D
Didn't really know what to expect, but it was super fun.

Wednesday met up with SCBTBDF to go study at Kallang Leisure Park before the Aviva Open. I went to study, but didn't go for the Aviva Open because I went to meet up with the SCIJ gang after that. Went to Island, met Tis on the bus.
After eating ice-cream we went to the botanics. We entered through the Cluny Park I think? Then we just randomly walked, and we finally had a goal, we realised we had taken to super long route to get to that goal. We were all perspiring like crazy. Got to the Symphony Stage and camwhored like crazy then we went to buy overpriced drinks because we were so thirsty and we trekked all the way to the Orchard gate. It was great seeing Mel, Gen and Ven after a long time (:

Thursday went for Aviva Open. It's quite fun. We would like make bets with no prizes to guess who would win. And we smuggled our food in. With Joellyn's magical pants which could fit a bottle of water, 2 can drinks, kinder bueno etc etc and our jackets. The securtiy is seriously super slack there. Had dinner at some sushi place at KLP then went back and watched till almost 9.30++. Lee Chong Wei (seed 1) lost to some unseeded Vietnamese with no coach, and Peter Gade(seed 2) lost to some unseeded Indian. Shocker.

Friday was filming for media. Haha. Filming is so uber fun! We laughed our heads off and then got tired and then laughed our heads of again and then got tired again. After filming PW and Momo and I went to Orchard to go find the Adam Lambert Rolling Stones but we couldn't find it. Instead I bought RADIO:ACTIVE SINGAPORE DELUXE EDITION. OMG I WAS SO FRIGGIN HAPPY. After buying it I literally went "lublub" every five minutes while we were walking to wheelock. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. First ever CD I bought totally with my own money. Downside is that I'm kinda broke now. Bought Percy Pig and Pals too. Sister cooked dinner (with the help of me and other sister!) for mum. It was Cajun Potatoes and Pan-fried breaded Pork chops. Pretty good stuff, especially the potatoes (which we made!).

Saturday... Oh! Met up with badminton again at about 12+, studied at the Food Court in KLP till about 2 and then went to watch Aviva Open. I watched like, 1 match. Haha. The hyundai person or however you spell it and his partner for mixed doubles. They lost to China. Boo. Then I left to go meet PSH people for the PSH 21st Anniversary Carnival. Turn out was as usual, pathetic. Saw Felicia for like the first time in 9 years! Rest of the people were pretty much the same. So we met a lot of people along the way that I didn't remember but they sort of remembered me. Only person I remembered was Ms Donna. The carnival itself wasn't very exciting, but it was really cool reminiscing and like trying to spot ourselves in pictures. So many stories I don't remember at all.

Today went for Aviva Open FINALS! Caught the Women's singles which was ok. The men's doubles was like WHOA. The English pair Anthony Clark and Nathan Robertson who are world number 19 beat the Indonesians whose names I don't know who are world number 1 and were the Beijing Olympics gold medalist. Oh wait, they didn't beat. They TRASHED. I was like whoaaaa because their smashes are like whoaaa.

When they won, they both like fell to their knees facing each other about 2 metres away from each other and were like "SOU!!!!" Which was quite cute. I could imagine them with their English accents saying that!! If they were hot I would totally support them all the way. HAHA.
Then there was the mixed doubles which were totally boring so everybody just kind of left to go to KLP to get some food. Then we went back and we supported whichever team was winning so that it would get over and done with faster. I mean China vs China is just bleh.
Men's singles was the bomb! We cheered our hearts out like crazy and my clappers all deflated to nothingness (or were burst by Antje's brother). But Boonsak lost. ): But the match was really WOW. And apparently we were on TV. Haha! How cool is that? After the whole thing we had to walk super far to the bus stop because the bus stop that I usually take was SUPER CROWDED. Like you can see people spilling out of the sides waiting for 16. So we walked really far and waited really long and saw 2 uber crowded 16s pass. Got home at like 8+.

Man Aviva Open was an eye-opener. The standards are really pro and WHOA. Like Boonsak was able to defend by hitting the shuttlecock from through his legs. And also Aviva Open taught me that even though you may not be on top, you can still beat the top. :D And when you're at the top you're under more stress, but Mr Wong kind of told us this every year in the South Zone Finals and things like that. And the audience was really funny. But it was so fun. Sososofun. :D

I realised this week is my "get sent home by someone else's parent" week. THREE TIMES. After tuition, after aviva and after carnival. How odd.
