Date ; Friday, December 12, 2008 Time ; 6:22 PM Title ; YOSOKO JAPAN! Got back yesterday at 7.30! I love Japan and the people itself, but for the trip I'm don't think it's my favourite. =) I'm going to post pictures up later, because I just posted seven albums of the photos on to facebook. So I'm sick of photo uploading. Day 1 Arrived in Japan at about 7.30 I watched Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 on the plane! I shall blog more about the movies I watched on the plane later... So when the plane landed, we could see Mt Fuji from inside the plane! So cool! So we went to the hotel by this bus, which I slept on We couldn't check in yet so we went to this department store. Keio I think. But it's not very good for shopping because: 1. It's really expensice 2. It's all winter stuff So we walked around looking for food to eat, Nothing. So we walked somemore, and we came to Odakyu, We saw restaurants but I don't know, we kept looking for more. So in the end, my mum got really really mad because she was tired and we couldn't find a place and we ended up going to this REALLY REALLY expensive place for sushi. Boy my mum was mad. So we went back to the hotel and checked in Slept for like, 2 hours I think Woke up and bathed, and then we went out. I can't remember where we ate dinner that day We went to Ginza, and we just walked around It must be a really high end place, because there were whole BUILDINGS for brands like Bvlgari, Dior, LV and stuff like that. So scary. But the lights and the buildings were all very nice. So we went back, we stopped at this convenience store on the way back and we bought these Squishy things which are my LOVE! =) Watched Discovery Channel in the hotel, attempted to read Mockingbird but failed miserably. Day 2 Woke up and went to Shinjuku station Ate at this standing up restaurant for breakfast Thank goodness the lady could speak chinese. Paid for the food through a vending machine. So cool! Took the subway to Harajuku. Found the Meiji shrine. It's a really beautiful place! Coloured trees and all. We walked around Harajuku and we think Shibuya that day I didn't really buy anything. Mostly ate and just looked around in stores. Went back to the hotel and slept for a bit Woke up and went to eat dinner at this nice restaurant near our hotel Curry Katsu don! =) Went to buy more squishy things at the convenience store. Went back to the hotel room and lazed around. Saw schoolboys that day. OMG THEIR SO HOT. But I think it's mostly because of the uniform, but still, THEIR SO HOT. After I saw like, one of them, I went on this crazy schoolboy spotting spree. =) Day 3 Woke up at 8+ Went to Tsukiji Fish Market! There were lots and lots of fish(duh!) And we had breakfast at this little place. Rice and salmon and tuna sashimi! SUPER FRESH SUPER GOOD. Then later we walked around the market itself Saw humungornormous fish and all sorts of other creatures Then we went to Roppongi Jieji had cramps Then we went to this little place to eat some food And then we went to Roppongi Hills Which is a really nice place We didn't go see the Tokyo View because you had to pay like, 20 sing. We went to the Mohri gardens instead, which was REALLY nice. You'll see when I post pictures Then we went back to the hotel Later at night we went to Odakyu and we looked for food for my sister's dinner because she didn't feel well and was sleeping in the hotel We bought a lot of food at this food place in the basement and it was really yummy. On the way back bought squishy things. Told you I loved them =D Didn't see any schoolboys that day. I think there was only one ugly one. So sad. Day 4 Woke up at about 5 I think Had breakfast in the hotel. Nice bento boxes we bought the day before. We went for the tour to see Mt Fuji and Hakone Slept on the bus a lot Saw Mt Fuji, pretty! With ice and all But we went up, and it was SUPER cloudy, so we couldn't see anything, Everybody kept joking,"What a spectacular view!" Then we had lunch at this nice restaurant separately from the group Because the tour advisor had said not to go for the lunch Then we went to Hakone We took this boat for 15 minutes on Lake Ashi It was really pretty and SUPER windy. My hair went crazy! Then we went to do some shopping I got one of those toys where you stick in the coin and you turn it and then the ball comes out Just that I still can't open the ball. -_- Then we went up this cable car It was also very foggy Whenever there was a bump, even the tiniest, everyone will just go, WHOAAA. So it was all cloudy up there and we went back down again. Then we had some food and then we took the ride to Ogawara station or something to take the Shinkansen, which is the bullet train. It was us and 2 other groups from America who were really nice. When we were at the station, we were waiting for the trains to come so we could take pictures And when the first one came by, It was SUPER loud and super fast! One of the american ladies was like, had a shock attack. HAHAHA So then we were all standing by the railway, holding our cameras up waiting for the next train to come and it took super long. Then finally it came again, and ZOOM. Then finally one stopped at the opposite side so we could finally get good pictures of the train. Haha On the trip back, I stoned a lot. There was a Jap guy next to me sleeping and I was thinking of taking a picture but I didn't in the end. When we got back to Shinjuku, it was about 6. We had dinner at the same place as day 2. Then I bought LOTS of squishy things for the SCBT. I'M SORRY TO OTHER PEOPLE FOR NOT GETTING YOU ANYTHING, BECAUSE I COULDN'T FIND A NICE GOOD WORTH IT SOUVENIR SHOP! And I practically bought out all the squishy thingies at the convenience store. Only one packet left. So we went back, I watched ice-skating And this Japanese drama, AND I SAW THE GUY WHO ACTED IN GOKUSEN 2 IN THE SHOW. SO COOOLL! =))) Went to sleep super early. I saw my last schoolboys at the train station. Thank goodness they weren't ugly. Day 5 Woke up at 4.30AM JAPAN TIME! Which is 3.30AM SINGAPORE TIME! Finished packing, went down and slept on the sofa while waiting for the bus to come Took the bus to Narita Airport Checked in, went shopping. Through out the whole shopping thing, I WANT IT ALL! was stuck in my head Bought Royce chocolates! And Hi-Chew. The Hi-Chew IS SO MUCH BIGGER than the one in Singapore. Went on to the plane Watched Mamma Mia, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging(Aaron Johnson!!), Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Boys Over Flowers: The Movie(this Japanese show) and... Something else. =) Stopped over in Bangkok again. Got home, watched TV. =)) Just on a separate note, my mum's english is going a bit messed up now a days. The results are HILARIOUS. "I thought she has a voice of a humping whale" -Talking about Enya, when we were watching TV, HUMPBACK WHALE MUMMY. Not humpING. "Later we can go back to Harajuku to see the cross-dressers" -OMG. We were talking about COSPLAY. And she came up with CROSSDRESSERS. OMG. |
