Title ; SLC DAY 4! =(

Just came home from SLC, and it's OVER. It's really quite sad! Eduko should have gone out for dinner, but too late for that. Now they tell me to organise an outing for us. Bah! I'm really VERY sad that my camera's battery died at the end of the day, missing all the group photos! Today was also the day I made the most friends! Well, maybe not, but I made friends from other clusters.

Our cluster performance was ultra fun! I was a cyclist and it went by so fast, and the audience couldn't actually hear what we were saying but it was actually something like, Yi Zhen, being the only guy in the cycling group, shouting, "Girls, your makeups gone!" and we would go, "Oh. My. God! Exclamation. Mark!" Each girl saying one word. But I don't think they heard. Ah well. We were standing and sitting and jumping and clapping and waving and running for four hours straight! At least half the audience would start running trains around the auditorium in between performances and after a while we couldn't be bothered anymore... We were supposed to end the grand finale at 5.30, but it ended at 6.45... We finished everything at like, 7.40. Eduko wanted to take pictures with the huge banner but by the time we got there, it was taken down! But we took pictures anyway. And the girl we asked to help us take photos would just randomly snap when we were in the middle of talking! Oh yeah, Chee Kin can do this really, really shrill bird call thing. Scary! ANd the sec 4's came down for the grand finale! SO nice!!

We gave Hansen our signed Eduko placard and Nicole our whacko stick from the first day's icebreakers... Then one of the facs used the whacko stick and started like, using it as a cane and hitting it against his hand! We were all like, "HEY!!" I'm gonna miss everybody, it seems like such a long time ago that we first arrived at Hwa Chong, and now I keep thinking that I'll be walking in there again tomorrow for another day, but nooo... Won't see any of the Eduko members until the outing that they are making me plan. Bah.

"I love Nicole, you love Nicole, we all love Nicole, HEY!'

THINGS I LEARNED FROM SLC:
1) I seriously get stage fright when the thing might totally depend on me
2) Guys can be SERIOUSLY annoying(but not anybody in Eduko!)
3) Sweets don't really keep you that awake, even though they're awesome to eat
4) Always bring an extra camera battery!
5) Some guys can scream. Really.

MEMBERS OF EDUKO:
Ai Ling
You didn't talk much, but you're handwriting is WAY better than mine! =D Thanks for helping me while I was stressing over the workplan and everybody else was doing the budget! =)

Avani
It'll be hard to ever see you again, unless you come to Singapore again! FIRST person I TALKED to in SLC! I can't remember what it was about, but it probably was something about whether the group was Eduko. =)

Brandon
Fellow sec two-er! Only so few of us, and I'm not gonna forgive you for sabo-ing me into doing EVERYTHING AND pronouncing my name wrongly! GAH! Don't eat candy, it makes you high!

Chee Kin
Don't do that bird call anymore!! Or at least while you're around me! So fereakay!! Thanks for being bored with me during the keynote speech! Folding origami, which I happen to be hopeless at!

Cherie
I never really talked to you that much, but when I do, it's great! =) It's because of you we played more rounds of whacko! I DON'T HAVE YOUR EMAIL!!

Gen
FIRST friend I made in SLC. Through all that screaming from double whacko and stuff. Pity you had to go through so much -cough cough- trouble throughout the whole convention!

Hansen
EDUKO FACILITATOR! The awesome-est without doubt man! Thanks for giving us all the fruit pluses and lollipops! You must be a lot fitter due to us making you walk up and down for out amendments! =)

Jeremy
JIALORMEE SO CUTE!! We'll never get tired of that! You still owe us a song! Too bad you weren't around during the orientation games, who asked you to be good in maths huh?

Song Keat
You didn't talk much too, but usually when you did, we'd all end up laughing! We all only knew you for what? Two and a half days. You owe me for the scout ticket! Hope you have fun at the camp!

Vaisnavi
You KNOW you can trust me with your drinks! I won't drug you, don't worry! =D I can finally remember your name and say it without having to think twice! Yay! You really can't stop laughing can you?

Warisa
A seriously unique name! It's like, Marissa with a "W"! =) Thanks for the mentos the other day! I don't find it hot at all, but that's just me!

Title ; SLC Day 3!

As usual, today was the AWESOMESS!! We basically had cluster and consortium meetings all day, and this keynote speech thing. Yeah, sounds really boring, but we all managed to laugh our way through the whole thing. I LOVE EDUKOOOO!!!!!! Our paper wasn't picked as the base paper... =( But we made lots of suggestions, which quite a lot of people kept turning down! Especially our Plan Sucre. Poor Jialormee! I had to go up again, but this time it wasn't as nerve-wrecking as it was presenting, maybe it's because I knew what I was talking about. Tisa smiled at me while I was talking and I wanted to laugh!! It was quite fun at first, with all the discussing and stuff. I dooddled quite a bit but I did make a lot of points! =) Much better than yesterday... The cluster meeting lasted for FOUR hours!! After the meeting, our group was feeling bored, so we started bombing other groups for fun, but it didn't really carry on. It happened occasionally throughout the day...

Lunch was... Ok today too, I think it may be better than yesterdays. As usual, we went off to explore the HCI campus. Went to the SALT Centre because Song Keat told us the story yesterday... We were telling Gen to say "I hate construction workers!" We also suggesed creating a PEPPER and SUGAR centre! =D When we got there, because apparently this construction worker fell from the scafolding and died. So hmm... We took pictures and when somebody asked what Gen was supposed to say, Jialormee blurted it out. So smart.

There was later a consortium meeting which was REALLY boring, but passed really fast so good! I made a paper flipping thing. You know how when you flip through really fast it looks like the guys moving? Yeah. There was the keynote speech by this lady later which I did not listen to at all because there were lots of distractions. Like, I finished my flipping thing, folded origami with Chee Kin, pass notes between Zahirah, Tisa and I and there was this really freaky guy who sat behind Chee Kin who randomly passed me a piece of paper to play tic tac toe. I was like, WTH? but I played anyway because I was bored. Then he started asking me and Chee Kin for Gen's phone number which is really, really weird. We refused, duh. He CLAIMED it was for prank calling her but we don't think so.

After the speech it was the reception and phototaking! Which was all the fun in the day! We went around the outside of the campus and took pictures all over the place using the timer and everything, which was super ultra fun! We then had debrief and all, and then I spent 2 dollars on a scout ticket draw which I probably won't win but what the heck.

Oh yeah, all the other schools were wearing blazers except for the SC participants who wore our normal uniforms... The HC participants didn't wear the blazer but they all still wore something formal-er than usual. Sigh, still haven't worn the blazer at all this year!

156's been good to me! It hasn't made me late, and it always comes very soon after I get out of the campus every day! =) Plus, it takes me only about 5-7 minutes for the bus to get me home! Yay! Oh yeah, apparently a car ran over Zahirah's group's bags. And a girl's water bottle was broken. ouch.

In the LT4 where the steps are super steep!

At the SALT centre, which actually stands for Students Activities something something I think.

ZHONG CHENG! From standing left, Jialormee, Brandon, Song Keat, me, Vaisnavi, Gen, Chee Kin, Ai Ling, Cherie, Warisa, Avani. And lying down, Hansen our FAC!

TAHDAH!

The classroom, the classroom, the first storey classrom!

Title ; SLC Day 2!! =)

Today in a three of words... Fun, fast and stressful. I don't think I've ever laughed so much when under stress. OMG. We camwhored in the auditorium before the actual thing started in the morning, and then after all the briefings and stuff we went to our classroom to talk about our action paper...

At first we had this other guy being our facilitator because Hansen had to go for class. I became the secretary some how, some way. I kept making typos and typing out random smileys and nonsense, which was quite fun really, our group was laughing like crazy throughout the whole thing... During lunch there was this buffet thing. The food was so so I guess, the rice was nice. =) We sat as our YO, and it started raining halfway through the meal so Gen, Jeremy and I were all shuffling more into the shelter so we wouldn't get rained on. We then forced the Hansen and Brandon to go take us around the school, and tell us it's ghost stories. It's kind of freaky, how the clock tower used to be a torture chamber during the Jap occupation.

We then wandered back to the class, and that's where the stress really began. It's really quite unfair!! The group had to choose a presenter, and they all pointed at ME! Lil' ol' me who's 1 of the 3 sec 2's in the group... And nobody would object. Bah! As a result, Brendon took over the job as secretary. Hmph! It's fun to be able to be a secretary because people usually won't pick me for writing, but that was typing. So. It was super fun playing with the online translator as it's really direct. Like, really. Voluntary work is zi yuan the gong zuo.

Towards the end it became REALLLYYY stressful because we were rushing for time and I didn't even get to eat my tea break because I was freaking out and I had to present to everybody else in the YO while they sat there, watching me and eating. YOu have NO IDEA how nervous I was. But I must say, I love being in EDUKO! Before my presentation, a few of the group members would pass me notes telling me to JIAYOU! So,
THANKS:
VAISNAVI
SHA
HANSEN
JEREMY
for the encouraging letters! =)

I must say I freaked out for the presentation and missed out a LOT of info, but we only had 8 minutes! Then people asked me questions. This girl gave me a weird look after I answered her question, I guess maybe because I wasn't very to the point. Oops. I'm very scared though, what if like, my YO doesn't get chosen as the base paper because of me? AHHH! The rest of the cluster meeting was kind of boring, and the poor presentations after mine... Our group, because of Hansen's message to us, would be the first to raise our placard up and ask like, 3 questions concerning the presenter's action paper. I would have been so annoyed! But since I wasn't presenter, it's really quite funny.

Tomorrow's going to be all meetings! OMG! I honestly can't keep quiet for so long!

My YO, excluding me, working hard on the action paper! =D

It's hard not to, with Alanna around.

Title ; SLC Day 1!

Got to HCI at 7 today! That's half an hour before reporting time, but it was for a reason... I'm in the group called EDUKO! I keep pronouncing it as Edoku, because it sounds like sudoku... The ice breakers were one of the funnest parts... We played whacko, double whacko, this "honey do you love me?" game and more... I got along the most with this girl from IJ called Gen... The girls totally dominated the guys. At first there were like, 7 girls and 2 guys not including our facilitator. But later 2 more joined but girls still ruled. There are only 3 sec 2's in the group! Plus, the other 2 are both Hwa Chong guys. Just my luck(MCFLY! =)).When we played the step on each others balloons game, all the girls ganged up against the guys and we stomped their balloons out... But second time wasn't so lucky.

We went to Marina Bay for the orientation game, which lasted from like, 11-3.30... We would walk from Marina Square, to let's say the merlion, then back to Suntec and then off to the next place super far from that... I was so... Pooped after the whole thing, We walked and ran and then we then went to the Fullerton hotel to have a break... The rest room is SO NICE! Glass sinks, sofa chair thingy... I didn't eat anything for lunch though, me and Gen. While everyone was eating, we went around taking pictures. We also ran in the rain, and it was crazy!! I couldn't look up because rain would just go splat in my face.

The activities we had to do at the stations were, so-so. We had to figure out what "We love 14th SLC forever and ever" in 6 different languages. Wow. AND WE HAD TO SUCK SALT WATER! My mouth felt so... Uh.

Phil, one of our "trainers" gave rules to the 3 guys on girls. It was so UHH! for us. You know, about how girls never know where they're going and that girls never know what they want and things like that. BAH!

When we went back to HCI, we had this banner painting thing... It was completely random, but it actually looked quite nice! The day ended realllyyy fast... My bus didn't come as late as I expected though. It took only 10 minutes to get home! Compared to the usual 20-30 minutes from school. Sighh...

8 of us before we were separated!

Eduko discussing our next game which required us to suck salt water. Can you see me say EWW with the hand sign?

Eduko and banner!

Title ; The post from the MACBOOK AIRR

I'm typing this beautiful blog post from my dad's macbook air and I am so freaking jealoussss!!! I'm trying to convince him to get me one when he finally allows me to get one in like, sec 4. I shall have to wait. Sigh. The Macbook Air is seriously skinny, and it's moving really fast because it's new I guess but woahhhhh... I'm still getting used to all the stuff but woahhhhh.... I sound like the Aly and AJ song. Hee.

Anyway, had Aroma Chemistry module at the beginning of the week. The first day was kind of boring because there was more chemistry but Aroma. From the whole module, I made a candle, soap and perfume. I thought I would be making only perfume. Soap is so brittle! It was so hard to mould that I ended up making the trainers mould them all for me.

"Today's break feels so short, last week's was so long!"
"Domi, our last break was yesterday."
"Oh. Oh yeah!"

Poor Domi was so forgetful. My perfume still smells like ethanol. I hope it'll stop that soon! I want to smell my beautiful lime extract and Ning's orange extract and well, everything I added to the perfume. No idea how it'd smell.

Anyway, I find it completely useless that the school should make us go back to school for the last two days of school! I mean, let us have a break of about 6 days and then drag us back to school to suffer. really great. Those 2 days, we get the things that will only make our holiday a WHOLE LOT MORE enjoyable. Homework. Bah! Well, I'm quite happy with my history test! I don't know why I find that subject absolutely boring and I am convincing myself that I would never take it but honestly, it's one of my best subects so far. Don't want to make a choice!!

SLC's next week! Have to borrow a blazer for it, but thanks to so many people needing it, I don't think I'll ever wear a blazer this year unless I finally go for an investiture. Sigh. Have to be at HCI at 7.30 on Tuesday!

So many random things in one post, I think I'm doing this because of the Macbook air.... MACBOOK AIIRRR!!

Title ; SCBT <3

The SCBT(both Primary and Secondary) held a BBQ(without any barbecqueing involved, except for the neighbouring pits) at ECP, not the expressway. Yin Ling's mum sent Yin Ling, Ruo NIng, Joy, Chelsea and I there and we all brought food yay! When we got there we hung around for a while and then we all went to rent bikes. Elisa and I borrowed a double bike which was actually cheaper than borrowing 2 normal bikes if you divided the price by 2.

I used to ride double bikes, but always at the back, so it was kind of hard getting used to the front at first since Elisa couldn't exactly touch the ground... The first time I got on the bike, I rammed into a guys thigh. Man I felt guilty... We took a very long time getting used to it but finally I mastered it! Then I became the driver. I rode Elisa, Elena and Vicky. Elena because Elisa wanted to try a single bike(maybe because I was putting her life at risk?), and Elena didn't want to try but I forced her! =) Vicky because she didn't want to borrow a single bike because she was scared of falling. Whenever we went over a hump, Vicky would scream, which was really kind of funny, kind of distracting.

We later went around the beach playing... We wrote all sorts of things in the sand and ran around. SORRY YIN LING FOR WETTING YOUR SHOES!! IT WAS ACCIDENTAL! I blame the waves for that. When i came towards night time, the tide started getting higher and higher... I took lots of pictures of the sunset, even though we were in the east and you can't really see the sun set from there. =) The food was kind of cold and all so I didn't eat much...

Left the place at about 8+ and went to Yin Ling's house... Ruo Ning and Chevelle got obsessed with playing City blocks or however you spell it... It's quite funny because Ruo Ning can actually die at 1 block. Hee hee

Title ; Environment and US!

Yesterday I had my type 1 module, which was Envrionment and Us! There were only three sec 2's there, but thank goodness for CCA's! We went to the -deep breath!- NUS Raffles Museum of Bidoiversity and Research. It was kind of freaky, but kind of cool at the same time. Basically that museum has like, dead animals skins and stuff or whatever and they display them. I never knew that there were SOOO many kinds of flora and fauna in Singapore...

A flying lemur! They glideeee... AND can be found in Singapore!

Freaky bearish thing!

When we went back we watched a whole load of videos and there was this really cute one where this bird can do the moonwalk! SO KAWAII!! It can do the MOONWALK! The dance is to attract mates of course, everything is with birds isn't it?

Title ; Finally!

For a few days now I've been trying to change my blogskin, and I found quite a few nice ones, but whenever I previewed it, my posts would become really long and it would screw up the whole layout, so I just stuck with my old one.

THEN, today, Pei Li told me that blogger's previews were screwed up! So i wasted all that time for, hmmm, NOTHING! Anyway, I love my new layout! If I had figured it out earlier, my current layout would have penguins in a forest. =)

Did I mention I never realised searching for layouts are super hard? I used to be able to just search for McFly, and then find a beautiful skin that I loved, but now that there is a lack of pretty McFly skins, I have to source for normal ones, and that is TOUGH.

Oh oh, I love Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade! =)

The best thing about tonight's that we’re not fighting
It couldn’t be that we have been this way before
I know you don’t think that I am trying
I know you’re wearing thin down to the core..

But hold your breath
Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again
Don’t make me change my mind

Or I won’t live to see another day
I swear its true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
You’re impossible to find

This is not what I intended
I always swore to you that I would never fall apart
You always thought that I was stronger
I may have failed
But I have loved you from the start

Oh, But hold your breath

Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again
Don’t make me change my mind
Or I won’t live to see another day
I swear it’s true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
It’s impossible to find

So breathe in so deep
Breathe me in
I’m yours to keep

And hold onto your words
‘Cause talk is cheap
And remember me tonight
When you’re asleep

Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again
Don’t make me change my mind
Or I won’t live to see another day
I swear it’s true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find

Tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again
Don’t make me change my mind
Or I won’t live to see another day
I swear it’s true
Because a girl like you is impossible to find
You’re impossible to find

Also, I got the Click Five's Modern Minds and Pastimes Tour Edition CD, and I from the DVD, I don't like Ben Romans. He was mean to Kyle Patrick when he first came! Also, they play BADMINTON! =) On a grass court. BADMINTON! Yay! I can't wait for the Badminton camp!
