Title ; Sikh wedding

Last Sunday, my mum's staff got married. Usually I don't go for my mum's staff's weddings but this time it was different because the type of wedding was a Sikh wedding! I've never been to a Sikh wedding! Then again, i've been to like, one wedding in my whole life?

So anyway, I got up at about 8.30 and we left the house at about 9 and then we got to the Central Sikh Temple at Towner Road. We sort of stood there, not knowing what to do because we've never been to that kind of thing... Later, all the groom's guest walked to the bus stop as it is like, a custom for the groom and co. to walk a distance to the temple. We had to wear these brooch thingys(I chose the pink one, duh) and then we walked there.

We had to cover our heads with scarves... Oh, did I mention that the sari's and all that the people wore were SOOO beautiful!! So colourful, so bright, so intricate... Anyway, we ate food. Then we went up to this temple. There was this pool looking pond thing that had blue water. I mean BLUE water. It's not the floor. Anyway, we went into the temple and had to bow to the holy bible and then we sat down. Woman were supposed to sit on the right and men on the left but there was no space on the right so we had to sit on the men side. Bah. The bride and groom had to walk around the place where the bible was put... I didn't understand a thing because it was all in... Hindi?

So ayway, after the wedding we went to Velocity to have lunch. Yum!
