Title ; 2GY and the Bouncing Javelins

Today during PE, we learned how to sort of throw the javelin. Nobody got hurt, though I think plenty sort of whacked themselves in the head(including me!). Aside from the head whacking it was pretty fun!

Mr Ang told us this scary story about how this guy slipped on the grass and pierced his lungs and died. Also about how it's dangerous to pull it out of the grass anyhow without looking out for people behind you. Fer-eak-ay!

So anyway, most of the times it didn't go close the cone, or even stick into the ground. Majority of the people will sort of make it slide on the grass or it will bounce. It was quite hilarious.

We also had to skip during the break and Nive, Vera and I tried double dutch. Oh MAN it's hard!! I really admire the people in Jump In! now. The skipping rope can sort of be scary when it's going really fast...

Title ; Training!

Just came back from training! Competition is starting in 2 weeks and since school training is on saturdays now, and I do not want to go in the afternoon for extra training AGAIN, I've been going fo Sunday training. Somhow, Sunday training seems more fun than the Saturday one...

Well today, there was very little duo qiu, games aplenty. That's a good thing! By games, I don't only mean badminton. After quite a few games we went down to the basketball to play basketball! It was pretty fun really, and I really worked up some perspiration. I also ended up with crooked glasses. Not completely crooked, but sort of. It's not straight that's for sure.

I got another Keat Youngsters shirt! It's blue now, so I have the red, green and blue one! So do Joy and Yin Ling, so we're planning to always coordinate our shirts when we go for training! =)

Title ; STRESSS

So, two weeks of school are over. I already think I'm quite screwed for the first half of the year.

Orientation was fun last week. I missed a lot of class because I was i charge of 1CO... It was really fun though. Especially the SCvivor where I attempt to throw water out of the pails and end up throwing the whole pail to the side instead. =D

1CO'08 PEOPLE YOU ROCK! Thanks for being so guai and friendly! (Note the '08 part. 1GY'07 is still the best!) GREAT JOB SID TOO!! GO PREFECTS! =D

Anyway, competition is starting next next week. Investiture is next next week too. It's kind of freaky. It's only the second week of school and I'm already feeling so stressed, and it isn't because of school work. Weird huh? I've been going to school everyday(and I mean EVERY day plus weekends) and on weekdays I get home at about 6+, 7... Which leaves me no time to go top up my EZ link card which is currently having a negative.

I think all 2GY teachers are pretty nice aewesome. That's about all I'll say I guess, don't want to write any questionable content. =) Not that I have any to write.

So basically that's about it. Invest pracs have really been fun, but it's really time to get down to business. Really. I absolutely love being a prefect and I could never imagine not being part of the PB!! I love every single little body in the board! I just really really hope I can cope... I don't want my grades to slip!!

Title ; Badminton Sec 4 farewell 07

Today was the sec 4 farewell for badminton. I was the first to arrive at Joan's house and I didn't know where to meet so my mother started scolding me for being so like, unprepared and stuff... =( Anyway, people started trickling in wlowly afterwards. It was pretty awkward at first because there was only like, me and Elisa as sec one's and we didn't know our seniors THAT well so we were sort of quiet and keeping to ourselves.

Finally I decided to start helping around more and stuff... So then we went to help wrap corn, stack it up nicely... Fill up water balloons that we didn't use in the end...

After a while it started drizzling! So our plans for barbecque sort of went down the drain. Instead we sat in the shade eating and talking... Elisa's brownies are really good!

After a while we started taking pictures! We had this group one, and it was quite funny really, because there were three cameras so Juli had to set all three on timer, press all three shutters and RUN to where we were... After one photo flashed then we started moving and then we were all laughing... Somehow, all the sec ones had run away and I was the only one in the photo... Hmm.

So more photo taking and eating and talking and stuff. That's basically about all that happened I guess... =) It was quite fun I think!

The funny photo of us, but I think it looks very nice... =)

The corn that Elisa and I stacked up prettily!

School's starting tomorrow... I kind of find it ok I guess. 2GY here I come! I canNOT believe I have to be in school at 6.20 for the first 3 days! It's madness I tell you! MADNESS!

Title ; HAPPY NEW YEAR '08

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

I hope this year will be a good one for everyone out there! Anyway, yesterday I went to this New Year Party at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club. It was quite fun I guess... We ate dinner, which half the things I couldn't eat actually. The view was pretty nice! Anyway, after dinner I watched the RSYC Next Top Model. The host for this was Chua En Lai! I got to take a picture with him! =)

Anyway, it was quite funny to see the people, they were like, wearing towel hats, two left shoes, carrying toilet paper, plates of food and stuff. After that we went down to the arcade. My mum actually raced! She's such a safe driver, never speeding. I played some of that bubble thing, I can't remember what it's called but yeah. After that my biggest sister left to go see the Marina Bay fireworks with her friends. We sort of sat around after that. Then we went dancing! There was live music and all, it was quite fun, but it would have actually be more fun if I had friends there I guess, but you can't have everything right?

So then there was the countdwon, and the fireworks! I took a video of the whole thing, and i'll post it here if blogger lets me. They were quite pretty, but the Marina Bay one was PROBABLY more interesting. After that, more dancing and then the lucky draw... Didn't win anything, as usual. So after a while more we went homee...

OH OH! MCFLY ACTUALLY GOT STAR GIRL INTO THE 987 TOP 100 COUNTDOWN!! I'M SO PROUD OF THEM! I actually didn't think they'd make it, considering how many people don't know about their awesomeness, but WOOHOOO!

Title ; Sikh wedding

Last Sunday, my mum's staff got married. Usually I don't go for my mum's staff's weddings but this time it was different because the type of wedding was a Sikh wedding! I've never been to a Sikh wedding! Then again, i've been to like, one wedding in my whole life?

So anyway, I got up at about 8.30 and we left the house at about 9 and then we got to the Central Sikh Temple at Towner Road. We sort of stood there, not knowing what to do because we've never been to that kind of thing... Later, all the groom's guest walked to the bus stop as it is like, a custom for the groom and co. to walk a distance to the temple. We had to wear these brooch thingys(I chose the pink one, duh) and then we walked there.

We had to cover our heads with scarves... Oh, did I mention that the sari's and all that the people wore were SOOO beautiful!! So colourful, so bright, so intricate... Anyway, we ate food. Then we went up to this temple. There was this pool looking pond thing that had blue water. I mean BLUE water. It's not the floor. Anyway, we went into the temple and had to bow to the holy bible and then we sat down. Woman were supposed to sit on the right and men on the left but there was no space on the right so we had to sit on the men side. Bah. The bride and groom had to walk around the place where the bible was put... I didn't understand a thing because it was all in... Hindi?

So ayway, after the wedding we went to Velocity to have lunch. Yum!
