STUPID STUPID video!! Now I need to type more random stuff... Oh oh, I learnt some lessons today. Don't ever, and I mean ever, keep glitter in your pencil box, you'll only end up very shiny. Also, Don't bury your pencil box under rubbish. You'll end up having to dig for it in the rubbish bag in front of the uncle.

Yes, two very important lessons I learnt today. My silver glitter thingy fell open today! Probably because I dropped it on the floor or something and all my stationery and pencil box were covered with silver shiny stuff. A BIG BIG THANK YOU TO SHU WEN FOR GETTING GLITTERY TOO WHILE HELPING ME DE-GLITTER MY STATIONERY! Yep, two of us started de-glittering all my stationery on to the floor and when I finally went to sweep it up, it was SUCH a waste! SO MUCH GLITTER. Sigh. Did manage to save a bit... But my pencil box and some pencils and pens are still glittery thanks to the rubbery thing which refuses to let go of the glitter.

After the survey thing, I went back to class and saw Carolyn there who was taking all the stuff off the notice board. I swept up all the glitter and waited for Carolyn to finish and then when we were about to go, Carolyn realised that her pencil box was missing! -Gasp- She checked all around class and was certain that she had left it on Alanna's table and then, she remembered that she and Wen Qian had swept all the paper into the dust bin without looking. So we ran to the canteen to ask Wen Qian if she had her pencil box but nooo... So Ruth, Wen Qian, Carolyn and I ran to the uncle who was going to dispose of all the rubbish and asked him for the bag. Then Ruth and Carolyn dug through... And they found the pencil box! Then Carolyn held the pencil box and Ruth and I dug for pencils and pens...

Turns out we didn't find Carolyn's expensive but free Dr. Grip pencil. And her eraser. Ah well. At least her pencil box wasn't thrown away. I HOPE THIS IS LONG ENOUGH FOR THE VIDEO TO MOVE DOWN. IF IT ISN'T I'M GOING TO KILL ME BLOG!

WHAT THE BLEHH!!

If you happened to be tuning into 987FM's Muttons to Midnight yesterday(26th September), you may have noticed a person with a very high voice who won the contest. Well, GUESS WHO IT WAS?? MOI! I actually entered the day before too but I was too slow in guessing the song which was You're Beautiful by James Blunt but yesterday I was prepared. I purposely stayed up and I prepared the template and then I waited for the lyrics to come. Thankfully, it was a song I knew, and a song I like very very much! I could be brown I could be blue I could be VIOLET LIKE SKY! Grace Kelly! Mika! So the moment I recognised the song I quickly typed it out and sent, even before they told the format for sending. Hees. That's kiasu for you...

So I waited and waited, hoping that I would receive the call and then I did! While they were playing Beautiful Girls - Sean Kingston on the radio. My heart was pumping like crazy and then I was talking. I never knew that my voice is very high, well I sort of did, but not that high... When I picked up the phone, they were like, "Hi, this is muttons to midnight, may I speak to Miranda Lemon and Lime please?" Bah. Someone should tell them it's Mirinda. So they were like asking about Miranda grape, and then orange. I said orange was sleeping! =) And then they asked me for the answer and I told them and then they asked me to sing the "violet like sky!" part for grace kelly and I was like, nooooo but they forced me and I did it and I sounded incredibly stupid. And then to Rukaya, when I said what the bleh!! It sounded like "What the Blair". And they cut my conversation short. Hm.

Ah well! I WON A HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 SOUNDTRACK AND A HAMPER. But I don't know how I'm gonna get it. Hm. I think they said they'd call but I'm not sure. Anybody who's won before help me please?

Yep. It's only been three hours of mugging and I'm hating it so much already. My arms are aching from drawing stupid science mind maps!!! I really think I'm going to fail science if I don't do this but DUDEE I've got to study for other stuff too and if I can't even get science done... WHY AM I STILL BLOGGING? Oh yeah. because I've done like, 13 very messy but informative mind maps and my hand is dying but I'm still typing and blogging WHEN I SHOULD BE STUDYING! Gah.

9 days till ends of EOYs! Jia you everybody!

You know, reality has FINALLY kicked in. EOYS ARE IN LESS THAN A WEEK! I'm sort of mugging. But noooo.... I'm blogging. GAH!! LESS THAN A WEEK! I'm going to fail science like mad! WHY AM I BLOGGING THEN? AH! AH! STUDY! STUDY!!

I would be very proud to say that I had won it, but no. Some people from the PB went to CHIJ TP yesterday to help out with the COLOURS award. I have no idea what it means but it's something to do with recognising the good sports people. At first I was supposed to usher people to the registration and the board and all, but then they said that Registration needed another person, so yay! I went.

It turned out to be extrememly fun though Mrs De Silva made it sound very scary at first. All we had to do was to cancel out the people's names when they came up to us and give them stickers. =) We had to do it in pairs and I was pauired with JOYSLYN! YAY! It was pretty boring and there was only like, one or two times when we were really busy. To cure our boredom we started singing MCFLY! YAY! Like, Sorry's Not Good Enough and Tranny. Sorry's Not Good Enough is the most fun McFly song to sing in two's. You know the whole, Don't go changing, SORRY'S NOT GOOD ENNOOUUGGHHH, Don't go changing, SORRY'S NOT GOOD ENOOUUGHHHH part. Joyslyn later made this observation that whenever boys went in to the toilet, their hair came out much spikier and shinier. I wonder why -raises eyebrows- And I thought girls were vain.

After the registration time ended, we went to this "secret" room to cancel out the people who weren't coming. We had like, 20 minutes to do it? But we managed to do it so Yay us! We then went back up and collected our bags to go down to the canteen to "study".

They(ann, tisa and farisha) saved me a seat and hehe, we made Sha stop studying. We played all those game thingy's like, Around the world in 80 days, johnny johnny johnny whoosh, johnny whoosh johnny johnny johnny johnny, how many angels fell from the sky?, how many baa baa's jumped over the fence, so on and so forth. It was ultra fun and we really passed time doing that.

After a while we had to get ready for the reception which was fun TOO! I was at the reception table with Christine, Sandy and Tisa, the far corner one which hardly anybody came to. We played more of those games thingys and we like, put serviettes and forks on to the plates. Tisa really longed for jelly(she gobbled up like, 6 when we were allowed to eat?). So after a while the people came and I was like, offering the people in the queue plates and one guy was like, "Wha, good service". Tisa had to go keep asking people to come over because there was hardly anybody there.

And then we got to eat! Yay! There were eclairs and chicken wings and jellies and muachi(sp?)... We all stood around and played more games! They are so addictive and fun to irritate people when they don't get it. =) Before we all left we were being very random and were like, LET'S GROUP HUGG!!! But not everybody did because I don't think they heard. =) And then Mariann and I started linking arms and skipping to the bus.

BUS RIDES
The bus rides were like, the ultra-est fun parts! On the way there, I sat with Mariann and we were like, getting nicknames and signs for each sec one present in the bus.

Mariann - Put hands to head and wiggle arms(Mariann=ant)
Miranda - Put your index fingers to your thumbs and lift them up and down continuously[mi(mi)randa=if you haven't heard the mimi joke go ask mariann]

And with that, we played the bomb game with actions! It was super funny!! The ride was pretty fast sadly..

On the way back I sat with Mariann first but then later the Sec 3's started singing and we all moved behind and started singing GIB songs. At the end we received a round of applause from the PE teachers! Yay!

Pre-Odessy of the Mind is so fun. Partially because our group, Gao gao's group, keeps winning! Yay! Haha... Like yesterday we had the Hands on tasks and like, we did two. One was to make a newspaper structure and make it as high as possible. We actually did it the day before but most people's collapsed, so Mrs Tan wanted us to do it again! Yay! =) So we did, doing it a little smarter this time =) and we won! Alanna would just not admit that our structure was the tallest. Theirs was pretty much the same as ours, just that ours could stand without falling over at all! Thanks to Gao gao's kiasuness and scotch tape, our structure was barely the tallest. Ha ha ha...

Next we had to make a cushion for an egg so that it wouldn't break after a drop from the second level. We were sort of discussing whether to wrap the egg completely in newspaper or to make a parachute. Well, we ended up doing the parachute but throughout we were like, betting whether it would work or not. I was sort of thinking it would work, but after Gao gao's continuous pessimissity(??), I startedthinking it wouldn't work either. Then later Sydney and I think Gao went up and then we had to lay out newspapers on the courtyard so that if the eggs broke we won't make a mess there. The wind kept blowing and we had to use our feet to hold the newspapers down which was quite freaky because we were worried that they'd drop the egg on us! It was quite scary waiting. When they let go, it was ULTRA cool!! Ours took the longest time to reach the ground because the parachute worked!!! =D It was so cool!! It was like... It was floating down... It floated into the gallery... Thank goodness it didn't break! So we won again! But Alanna's group didn't break either. =( We then took a class picture with our eggies and structures. Then the Gao Gao's took a group photo and then together we crushed and tug-of-warred our newspaper structure and then threw it away...

English remedial was hilarious today! We had to split up into groups and write a formal letter on a given topic. Sounds boring doesn't it? With Roopinder, Rukaya and Shu Wen in your group, not anymore.

Our task was to write a Thank You letter to a customer. We chose to write about a hotel as Mrs Tan had just been telling us about it... So we wrote that we were Fullerton Hotel, but then we had to write the address and we had no idea what it's address was. Roopinder made the suggestion of "Riverside Lane". THEN, Rukaya had this GENIUS idea and said that Fullerton was in Indus Valley! We were laughing away like Hyenas and then we chose the customer's address which thanks to me, became Chicken Lane!

We were writing the letters and due to our tiredness and boredom, we thought up of nonsense. Honsetly nonsene. I did have to remind Rukaya that this was english and not history. We were like, talking about how half the money that the customer paid was going to go to some sort of charity or something.

"How about the money go into building dams to prevent floods?"
"Irrigation Channels!"

Eventually we ended up with donating the money to the Indus Valley Anti-flood Association! Oh oh, our customer's name was Anuria Kaur! Hees. And then the person
from Fullerton Hotel's name was Aryan Singh. Hahahahhahaha Whee!

We were SO killing two birds with one stone!

Yay, this is like my what, third skin change this year? I got bored of that layout. That's all! =) Still, it's MCFLY related! Though the colour combi's not my favourite... I still think it's cute. Hmm... This is my blog's belated third birthday present! =D

Nearly the whole year doing art of speech stuff and it came down to this. And what happened? I couldn't change fast enough, I threw a drumstick offstage, the timing was off... OMG! If we don't win or get to perform or anything, I will feel so... Disappointed. Sersously. I mean, so much effort was put into this and then we go on stage and we nearly screw it up.

I was seriously nervous and I was trying to keep myself from laughing sometimes because laughing as an actor is a no-no. A big boo boo. Sigh. I don't think I can act. I'm not born to be an actress. Plus, my han yu pin ying tones are pretty off I should think. Sigh.

Ah well, it's all in the experience. Coolios! =) Oh, and I think that quite a few classes did very well. I think GR did well, just that I didn't understand the story and I thought that it was art of Speech lessons that we were attending... But it was funny. I liked it. If I understood it. I think that SY's one was freaky... And I think that the mossie one(SE) was cute too, and the clone one!

Just came home from GIB yesterday. Made me wake up at 3pm today. I miss GIB! I miss Chortle, I miss the SCPB, I miss MS SU! GIB was honestly, the most tiring and fun thing ever. I have never experienced anything like it. Nothing so intensive and so fun and it really helped me to know the board.

DAY 1
We played for like an hour, then we started the intensive. We got warm fuzzies, learned about alone time, introduced ourselves and the intensive began. We had to learn a lot about initiative that day. Umi fell sick and had to go home. We started having the food cheer. We were split into family groups. In my family group there were 10. The 10 being Mel Luki, Deborah, Denyse, Kristen, Nicole, Bala, Joyslyn, Debbie, Samy and me. Our group name was Chortle! Credits go to Denyse. We gave each other names like, Deborah was Doctor Daddy Deborah, Mel Luki was Meticulous Mummy Melissa, Denyse was Domestic Denyse, Nicole was Clock Chua, Debbie was Scrible Debbie the Scribe, Samy and Joyslyn was Samajoy Spirits(unspook), Bala and Kristen were Gourmets Balakristen and I was waterbasin Wiranda. I didn't speak up much at first but slowly as the days went by, I started to speak up more because I warmed up to the group. A lot. We slept at 1am that day. We learnt how to stand properly and everything. There were a lot of presentations that day. About the qualities of a leader, if I'm not wrong, we had to do the performance to these two songs, one being Georgie Girl and this other weird song about finding a place in time. Deborah was Georgie and we made her tuck in her shirt real bad and tie this little coconut tree on her head. It was really funny but we didn't find the deeper meaning in it. Oh oh! I learnt the SCPB song. We also made a cirlce and sang songs. When Su Ching and Joy and a few other people disappeared for a while, Su went to find them and we were telling jokes... When we came up we had debreif and then went to sleep.

DAY 2
We had morning stretches and had to wake up at like, 6.45 in the morning. I took a really quick shower because the water was freezing. We went down for morning stretches and we danced to some music and played duck duck goose. We then had breakfast and continued with our intensive. We had to dance to this song called I believe which is over in my music box and it was really funny to watch the groups as usual. You seriously have to see the dance moves we came up with. My group really has to thank Debbie for like, thinking of everything from the dance. We had more stuff going on... We had this part where we slept. And then we had to leanr how to walk properly and we sort of made a catwalk and had to show how to walk. Apparently I lean to the left when I walk, but other than that I'm fine. After a long long day, we then had this game organised by Su Ching and Joy and it was called "capture the flag" we had to minutes to make a group banner and then the game is basically about having to capture another group's flag. We played for quite a while... I was a defender, then an attacker who sort of gave up on my job and became a defender again. We managed to get a tiny piece of a groups flag. We then had dinner and then, we found out, that we had to learn this song, in french. So we spent most of the night learning how to sing it properly and not in as Nadia would say, 'bad french'. Finally we had our debrief and then went to sleep at about 2am.

DAY 3
My group had to lead in the morning exercises and I have to admit, it was not as fun as the day before's. We had to do the walk the walk thing and played blow wind blow. We went back to the music room and that day was a lot more serious because we found out we had to make a family group item, come up with a programme, memorise the french song, make the whole dance for the 'I Believe' song, make a speech for a level sharing, get dinner done... Make a mission, make a new prefect board structure... So we had to do a LOT of planning that day. We made a mission! And we made this newspaper article about how we want the 2017 prefect to be... My presentation was horrible because we did it at like, 1am and I had like, a whole cup of coffee to keep me awake. Not only did it do that, it made me hyper. So when I had to say the words 'proscar' award, I started laughing and I couldn't stop so I was laughing my way to the end before Samy took over. We went through the school rules and then after dinner, we were shown this presentation on 5 steps to booking. It was REALLY funny! It was like, Nadia was this really naughty girl and she was being booked for having the wrong colour hair tie, low socks, super short skirt and horrible fringe. She was really really funny and the whole board was laughing away. Later, Deborah, Su Ching and I volunteered for something which we did not know what was going to happen. We were ushered outside and were peering into the room to see what was happening. When we went back in, we were told that there was this function in school and we had to usher "Mrs Tan"(Farisha), "Vivien Balakrishnan"(Carolyn Bala) and "Minister Mentor"(Mariann). They were really funny! My gosh! Caorlyn Bala was this very emo and quiet person, Mariann was this scolding and uppity person and Sha was very questiony. It was ultra funny and I was trying to keep myself from laughing. We didnt' do very well the first time but we did better later. We also sat in this big circle and we were singing all the songs in my music list and some others... When we were singing the french song, I suddenly felt very dizzy and like blacking out... Then Mel Leong and I can't remember who because I was too dizzy signalled me to sit down. And apparently, I was very pale... THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO CARED ABOUT ME! LOVES! That night, or should I say, morning, we slept at 4am!

DAY 4
Very, very busy day. We woke up at 8, assembled at 9. We didn't have any morning exercises and we went straight to work. We had some talks first and then we had to think of what committees the 57th SCPB should have and we ended up with like, 6. I started feeling really dizzy again but I didn't rest this time. THANKS TO RUTH WHO WAS REALLY REALLY NICE AND CARING! She really, really, was very nice. She was like, talking to me and trying to cheer me up and everything. I felt much better later and we planned the family group item and everything. We also voted for the exco and then we had to get ready for night time! It was really rushed. We had to change into and iron our uniforms and boleros, decorate the LT, practise all the stuff. In fact, a full rehearsal was never done. Before we knew it the parents trickled in and the thing soon began. It started with the 'I believe' dance which was a bit messy and then there was the level sharing, and then the family group items which we had thought of only that day(we sang the second verse of At the Beginning wrong!! AH!). Then we had the structure of the PB and then the final french song. Apparently Mrs Low cried...

So really soon it was over, and we went back to the music room, had dinner, the food cheer for the lsat time, 3 cheers for everything that had to do with GIB and everything. Then the Sec 1's and 2's had to go put chairs back into the AVA room and clean up the reception. When we went back, we had to wait outside for the Sec 3's to finish their talk so we planned to do something for them. So when we finally got to go back inside, nearly all the sec 3's were crying so we went around hugging them all and then we did our performance. We were singing more than words for like, one verse, and then after that we were like "1 2 3 4! We're all in this together..." That made the Sec 3's laugh! Yay! Then we started this disco sort of thingy, and we did the knee head thingy, and we did the Mr Bean hip thing and everything. Then we sang breaking free. So after that we had have this group thing. We all huddled and then like, the whole Chortle, except for Bala and Kristen, the unemo ones) started crying because the Sec 3's were crying. We were swaying and keeping silent and it was really sad... After a while we sat down and kept more silent. Then the other groups started coming back and the whole PB gathered in the corridor of the music room and we sand "You and Me" by lifehouse. Well, a verse and a chorus and then we had to go in. We stood in the giant circle and had a really short closing speech before we finally all headed home. We gave everybody loads of hugs and everything and it was quite sad... Finally mum came and I went home, crashed out and woke up yesterday and 3pm.

This year, yet again, I went to Family night! But this time I was going as a student volunteer, with Tisa, Mariann and Debbie, to help out with the bouncy castles instead of being a guest. I had to be in school at 5, which left me with time to go home change and then leave immediately after getting home from Teachers' Day lunch. I actually needn't have got there so early because the teacher didn't come until later, but it was still good because it's better early than late!

So anyway, after like, half an hour we met this lady who told us what we had to do and then we went to the big bouncy castle and we started to play on it first! =) Then we had dinner which was at usual, from seoul garden and loads of lemonade before going to start our duty. At first it was pretty crowded, then not so much. There was this really cute little boy who we found to be Mrs Boh's child and he was SOOOO cute!! I helped to push him up to the bouncy castle, and he would slide down, then we'd do it again.

We then had our first 15 minutes break where we went to do the candle making sand art and we got tatoos done! Mariann, Tisa and I all got the same different one and put around the same arm and we became the barefoot bouncicles! We were barefoot because we had to go onto the bouncy castles a lot to help the children and were too lazy to keep putting them on and taking them off. And we were the bouncicles because we were in charge of the bouncy castles! =) So that's about all we did for that break.

We then went to do our second duty at the big bouncy castle and we would sit on the side's of the entrance and control the number of people going in at a time. Afterwards we had our second break where we started late becuase the other shift came late. We went to the disco to dance! We found Anuria and Sagarika(sp?) and started dancing with them. It was really fun but we had to go pretty soon and we got drinks for the shift we were taking over and then went back for our next shift. That shift was very busy so we had to time them also. Mariann's very good with children, 10 seconds before the group ended, she would start counting down and they would count along with them. Later, during another shift, we would do the chicken dance and the reverse chicken dance to entertain them. We would start dancing also on both bouncy the bouncy castles during our duty which was quite entertaining to the children I guess. That, or they thought we were complete psychos. The parents would be smiling at us. =D

Finally it was 10 and we had some ice-cream and then went home. ULTRA FUNNESS! We made a pact to go again next year, TOGETHER

This year we celebrated it on 31st of August. We started out with ACES Day, as usual. The class came early to practise our dance. I actually ran around most of the time telling the prefects from different classes their duty for Teachers Day.

ACES Day was really fun and this year's theme was Hip Hop so the Sec 1-3 levels had to dance to this Korean hip hop song. My class this very well considering we only started learning it the day before. =) When it was warm up time, we started out doing our actual dance but no other class was so we did our own thing but it turned out we were supposed to do our actual dance so we did it again. Then the Sec ones danced their dance, then the Sec 2's and 3's. We were shouting, "GO GY!!" And it was really fun because the teachers' joined in, even Mrs Tan!

After all the classes did their dance, then we had this freelance thing where they played all this dance-along to type of music and my class was super enthu and we danced like mad! It was really, really fun! After the dancing, they announced all these prizes, like the North to South walk, and the salad class and of course, the ACES day prize! Guess who won the prize? 1GY!! And PE I think... Not too sure. Can't remember. =D

We went back to class and we had a class party. A lot of people actually went to visit the primary school teachers but I didn't go yet because I remember we were told not to. We turned on the radio in class and we started singing and Cynthia started to read and put her feet on the teachers table. Took pictures and camwhored! Yay! =D After a while, I noticed that the class floor was really messy so we started to sweep and mop the class. It is sort of cleaner now, but I doubt it'll last for monday. Even though it was teachers' day, Mrs Tan came in for a really short time. Half of that time Pei Wei, Hui Ning, Qi Ying, Megan, Dominique, Jia Ying, Julia and more 6G'ians went to go find our teachers. We found Ms Durat and Ms Kwok. And it was really saddening because when we saw them and greeted them, all they said was "hi". SNIFF!!

Anyway, afterwards was the teachers day concert. It was quite funny really. Mrs Low did this Darth Vader Impression...

Then the guy faints and she runs off. Ms Leong was a backstreet boy! =D It was really fun/ny watching all the teachers perform! Then after that there were the students performance... Cheryl was really cool!! =D The concert ended so much later than it was said to end...

After the concert I had to go help for Teachers' Day. I spent the first 10 minutes looking for Salome and Su Ching who were doing the Potong Ice-cream selling. It was quite fun because we had to go around ringing this bell and carrying the bag of ice-cream! After like, 6 rounds, the teachers all didn't want anymore... So we sort of stopped. There was a karaoke so the teachers and principals all went up... The perfects were all standing behind and we were singing too! =D Later Cheryl and I went up to the staff room to give the ice-cream. We saw Mr Lao and because we couldn't go in, Mr Lao took our bag and helped us to offer the teachers! =D

We later went to get our bags and when we went back, we could eat also, so I got some food and ate, then I went to help stack up the chairs. Later, the prefects started singing "Top of the World" it was really FUN! Because everybody would sing. I had to leave quite soon after that because I had to go home and get ready for Family Night. It was 3.40 at that time and I had to be back in school at 5!
