Title ; Jabs and Teachers' Day

Well, that was SOME painful experience, no? On Tuesday, the class had to go take our jab, which includes me. I'm 19, so I waited for the first half of class. I SERIOUSLY wasn't looking forward to it since everybody said it was so painful. It WAS! Like, one quarter of the class cried. FYI, that one quarter includes me, ok?? It was so seriously painful that it STILL hurts! Well, actually only the left arm. So it's like, yeah. And the medicine was DISGUSTING!!! Thanks to Mrs Kam, I had chocolate after the jab!! YAY!!!

Today we celebrated Teachers' Day in school. I got there at 7 plus and went to the gallery. Hardly anybody was there so Marissa and I went around giving our Teachers' Day presents. I didn't manage to give to all the teachers' at that time... So we had assembly. half way through the school song, Audrey suddenly stumbled onto Yan yan. Then she got up again and then seriously fainted. At first I was so shocked, but then after that I ran and got Ms Kwok. I didn't continue with assembly after that. So Ruth, Marissa, Yan Yan and Gaby tried to comfort and help Audrey. Ms Kwok went to call her father. Afterwards, Marissa and I sent Audrey down to the general office in a wheel chair. We had to bring an umbrella along because it was raining at one part. Marissa failed to shelter Audrey completely... We were like, asking her where she wanted to face... It was quite funny... Later, Marissa and I went back.

It was raining still, so we had to have ACES day in the hall. This year, it's different. The school invited 2 instructors who taught us how to do the dance. Well, it wasn't actually a dance. It was more like a self-defence class. But for me, it was damn fun lah! Because I was acting all crazy, punching and kicking like some sort of psycho. Before the exercise, this P2 girl demonstrated soem WuShu. So damn cool... After the exercise, I went to get a drink, and then Mrs Tay showed a video. My class was especially enthusiastic about it since we were filmed last time. We were laughing like made and like, slapping each other, while laughing. Right after that we were let out for recess.

I collected my outift then went down and ate some food quickly and then went back up to change. People were like, running around like mad. So I was like, shouting like mad to get everybody to sit down. It was really rushed. Soon, everybody came back for recess. Trust me, I was a nervous wreck. Ruth, Yan Yan, Gaby, Hai Qing and I were running around like mad dogs when we could not find Avril, Jia Qing and Jessica. We finally found them and then we got ready. The first people up were the combined P5 and P6 item. They performed to What I've Been Looking For. It's ok I guess... I mean, HELL YEAH! I put so much effort into that thing! After that, Jia Qing, Avril and Jessica performed to S Club 7's Bring it all Back. That was a good performance man! They rock! :) After that, Sandra, Vicky and their two other friends did a performance to Avirl Lavigne's "I'm With You". It's such a pity nobody could really hear the electric guitar! You could SO hear it backstage... After that it was the P1's performance. They danced to this Hi-5 song... At the end of the song they tossed down the balloons. Even when the girls were skipping of stage, the balloons were still coming down...

The P2 item was next and I was like, so tempted to dance along lah. Natalie is so damn cute lah... Open your heart, and open your mind... Hehe... In case you didn't know, those two people in front were Marissa's twin sisters... After that was the P3 item who danced to "Are you gonna be my girl". It was sort of nice, but I didn't really get to watch it since we had to go backstage for our Prefects item. We danced to We're All in This Together. It was kind of nice(sorry Ms Kwok!) to have people cheering for you... So it was like, yeah. it was pretty successful I guess. I didn't get to watch the P4 performance because I had to run of to change back into the PE uniform. The P4's danced to supercalifragalisticexpedalidocious(It's obviousyl wrong). After THAT, Hai Qing and I gave out sweets to all the P5 and 6 performers. YAY! I took like, 2 Mars Bars.

After a lot of loitering around, we had to go for the Teachers' Day lunch to help out. I was in charge of like, serving food. Such as refilling drinks, throwing stuff away, lining up for Laksa and Hokien Mee. At first I was a entertainer. Along with Tracy, Carolyn Goh, Ruth and Hai Qing, Marissa... Whenever the teacher came in, we would greet them with different languages. We were laughing our heads off! Later I had to get down to business. I got Laksa for Ms Kwok and refilled LOADS of drinks. Slowly, one by one, the teachers' finished their lunch and trickled out of the Spice Rooms. After a super long wait, we were finally allowed to eat! We all dashed for plates and rice. I was only able to eat the curry. So I ate. Lol... Today was my first ever time eating ice kachang man! It's ok I geuss... I still prefer ice-cream man! Later Yan Yan and I ate some jelly hearts. They were so good!! After the jelly hearts, a few of us played musical chairs. We never got to finish the game but I know I was in the top two! YAY! We had to help clear up later. Karuna found a balloon that had helium in it. So we were like, floating it about. We helped clear the tables and chairs first. Then we started sliding on the floor and Karuna won every single time. We started playing with the balloon. The helium balloon had floated to the ceiling. So we were all jumping like mad. This prefect got it down for us but then later she let it go, because I wanted to try get it. And I did! YAY!!! I hope I grow taller from that experience man. Afterwards, we were asked to burst balloons but I am terrified of balloons bursting so I didn't really burst any. We had a balloon fight, throwing all the burst balloons at each other. It was really fun. Karuna, Denyse and I were the last to leave for the Primary Prefects.

I have to say this year's Teachers' Day was the most enjoyable.

Title ; SCGS Family Night

This year, family night was so damn fun!! At first, I thought that only Chestnut and I were going... After we ate dinner and had some food, we found Domi!! So then we ran around... And then we went fishing for water balloons and then we made candles. We then went to the amphitheatre for a Treasure Hunt. Later, the people found this treasure chest pinata. Such a pity, only Domi got to hit. So once the thing broke, we ran!!!!!!! I was like, pushing around, and i grabbed a few sweets from people's backs and feet. Later, parents started throwing more sweets around. Man, I got hit by the sweets but what the heck. It was total chaos!

After all the sweets were grabbed, we started a show called SCGS Rocks. It was kind of cool. And there was this band, of guys. And they were like,"We know we're not from SCGS..." SO i whispered to Dominique,"I think we noticed...." After all that, THE PARTY STARTED!!!!! Like, 2 hours of dancing and jumping and waving our hands in the air man! I mean, even Ms Heng danced! We did the conogo line and the atmosphere was so cool! All these disco lights man!! It rocked! Chestnut was being a party pooper. So Domi and I hang out with each other, dancing like mad monkeys!

They played all sorts of music, HSM, SP, PCD, GC and so much more. We were like, dancing to we're all in this together man! After a while, we went to get some ice-cream, and then to get our candles. But my candle was taken by somebody! So I took somebody else's! Hehe... We went back dancing and I was so deaf! But it was seriously fun. You'd have to try it, to know it! I have considerations about going to next year's one. Can't wait.

I brought home a pink starry balloon. Lol...

Went to the National Day Parade Preview last Saturday... With Joellyn and Marissa. At first, I was supposed to go with only Joellyn. But then she wanted Marissa to come. So her mother got tickets. And so I was scolded for not using the tickets. Great. Anyway, I went to training before that and then went to Joellyn's house to bathe and eat an early dinner.

We got there more than the time we were supposed to be there. We got a bit lost but finally got there. We were REALLY excited when the Singpore Idol people came and said that they were going to walk around! We planned to make them all sign our hats. BUT, the pre-parade started and they didn't come to our section. Joellyn was so depressed that she didn't get Paul Twohill's autograph. The bag is so cool! Much nicer than last years. The hosts came flying in on the flying fox. We had these games and got points. But it's quite obvious that everybody got the same points at the end so as to not disappoint anyone.

After that we had the Red Lions come in with their parachutes. Nobody fell this year. GOOD! Then the marching contingent came in and we sang all the national day songs. Because of that, all three of us memorised the english song. After that we sang the national anthem. The preview even included fake ministers and speakers!

After that, they had all these perforformances lah. Our motivator looked really weird when he was dancing. Our group was pretty unenthu. There was this person, sitting next to us who was reading! The fireworks were great and Joellyn took pictures of them. I had FORGOT to bring my camera.

It was really fun and we went for some KFC after the preview. Then went back to Joellyn's house, hung for a while and then I went home.

What REALLY depressed both me AND Joellyn was that the Singapore Idols were at the OTHER side of the Grand Stand. If we had gone up the other side, we would have been like, only 5-20 metres away from them!!!! AND we would have gotten autographs!! ARGH!!
