Title ; New Years eve at the river Hong Bao

We had our Reunion dinner of steamboat. Then we went out to drive around so my maid could mop and sweep the floor. We drove down Orchard Road and it was so empty! So peaceful for once. We drove pass Suntec and it was all closed down. We drove pass the River Hong Bao and decided to see what they had there. So we parked at the Esplanade and walked to the fair. There were rides, games, food shops and shops selling trinkets.
Mum bought 2 tokens so i could ride on this horse ride. Yes, it sounds childish but so what? I was the tallest kid who was going to ride it... I got on to a white horse which was the third horse out of the six. I got shocked when it suddenly jerked to a start. I could here neighing sounds and it wasn't what you call slow. The ride was really bumpy. I looked really grand because all the other kids were grabbing on for dear life while i sat up straight and my hair was blowing in the wind. I could here Chinese New Year songs too.

Later we walked around to look at the decorations they had put up. There was this man who drops gold stuff at a special time. It was about 9.30 when we saw it and there was quite a crowd already although the "gold" only came down at 10.30. There was this well with bells and you could throw coins and try to hit the bell. Monica and I climbed up a bridge and aimed and we both hit the same bell. Mag totally missed her shot! Haha!

After walking aorund we went back to the Esplanade and ate ice-cream and had a vanilla milkshake. That was around 11 somthing pm. We were supposed to stay up until 1am to go out and welcome the new year. I fell asleep of course. Before 1. Hehe... I was so tired!
