Date ; Friday, February 25, 2005 Time ; 10:52 PM Title ; collecting a trophy and going to recollect it Today I went to Hong Wen school for the badminton prize-giving. When we got there, these dudes form ST michael and ACS were playing for their finals. I was bored to death! The matches went by so slowly. By the time it finsihed, we were all NOT focusing on the game. We were playing hangman and suff. When they finally finshed, ACS won. It was so weird when the said the school cheer. The voices were like our voices. I know they haven't broken but it's really weird anyway. Jessica Chan(our head prefect, mind you) and I were laughing away. Finally we lined up to go on stage to collect trophies. Some schools broght flags and it happened that we had brought 2! The juniors raised ours the highest possible. Which was the highest of all. We went on stage and collected the trophy which had a rectangular base. On top of it was a cup which was probably brass of something and next to it was a plastic gold 3D words that said 1st. Cute i guess. My first ever badminton trophy! Here is a picture of the trophy: When the bus arrived, Carolyn and I were shouting for Ms miranti and it so happened that this dude walked by and said "shut up lah" I felt like telling him to shut HIS mouth up. I was telling Marissa that it was not possible for him to be in the Courteous class as he is SO not courteous or even polite. Freak. On the bus ride back to school, Siew Yun and Carolyn were using the flag poles and were pretending to be imperial guards of this place of ghosts because Carol and Kai Yin's hair were tied up in weird styles which covered up their faces. I happened to be the quiet girl who has to study so she can go out of the ghost place. I would have taken a photo of the trophy and put it here but I don't have it now. It's in school so that we can be regiven the trophy on monday.
Date ; Monday, February 21, 2005 Time ; 8:08 PM Title ; Ms teh returns Well, Ms Teh sure attracts a lot of attention. Who's Ms Teh in the first place? She was the teacher that came to school last year and taught my class and that we made her cry because we did not listen to her... So anyway, Ms Teh came back to school today and she will be staying for 8 weeks. I was going to get the attendance and everybody from 4C was saying, "Ms Teh's back! Ms Teh's back!" I knew that since thursday or friday here... So anyway, during recess, everybody was tailing Ms Teh like they were connected to her or something. No offense here! Just telling the truth. Most of 4C was there... We kept shouting. I mean, when else can you shout like that in school? Ms Teh told some 4C girls that she would meet them at the same table after school but didn't come. Probably something came up. She'll be teaching for 3 years if she gets posted to our school next year. Most probably. Why else would she keep coming back? Well, that's good news anyway.
Date ; Friday, February 18, 2005 Time ; 5:14 PM Title ; Badminton with ms yeo? Not the perfect match... Today we had badminton training. Mrs Wong left early at about 2.15...So we were able to play our own games! First Joellyn and I played doubles against Elena and Siew Yun. We beat them 15-8 or something like that... Then after that we played against Siew Yun and Ms Yeo who was in charge of us today. Joellyn and I laughed so much that we gave them 10 points... But we still won anyway. 15-10. Later we played the kneeling down game. There was the junior juniors court and the juniors court. Ms Yeo was playing in the junior juniors court. I didn't really see if she squatted down but it should be funny seeing a teacher kneel...
Date ; Tuesday, February 15, 2005 Time ; 5:17 PM Title ; Biscuit day 2005 Today was total defence day so we had to get 2 packets of biscuits and a bottle of NEWater. Amelia was scared to drink it! I mean, what is wrong with NEWater? Well, just that it used to be dirty water just that it went through the reverse osmosis... The biscuits were quite nice actually... Some people just threw the biscuits into the dustbin. Such a waste. At 11.40, we went to the khoo auditorium to watch this slide show and then watch under one roof total defence day special which so happens shows the 5 different defences which are Economical, Military, Psycholigical, Civil and Social. At 12, there was a public warning system like every year. The under one roof was quite funny as it is probably meant to be. My favourite line is "Eat my dust, she's mine". So i guess total defence day isn't that bad...
Date ; Friday, February 11, 2005 Time ; 9:45 PM Title ; I suck at aiming For PE Today, we had to play captains ball. I was chosen as captain. Surprise surprise. Ying ying was the other captain. So we tossed the ball and started the game of. Boy, my team could have scored lots of points. IF we had proper aiming! We kept shooting up shots but it kept missing the net. Joy. We played poison ball too. I scored 50 points because i hit 5 people. I guess its more fun than usual running and stuff.
Date ; Time ; 9:34 PM Title ; Chinese New Year clothing We were allowed to wear our new year clothes to school. Mrs Chen asked for the people who wore red to stand up. 3 quarters of P1's where standing up! I was wearing all pink so I had to stand up later too... We had to sing chinese new year songs and all. The lion dance was normal...yeah so this chinese new year wasn't much different. Kinda boring in fact.
Date ; Wednesday, February 09, 2005 Time ; 9:51 PM Title ; The party for chinese new year We had Mum's brisk walking friends come over to have a dinner. We had Lo hei and steamboat(again). I could not eat from the gas powered steamboat because it had prawns inside and i am allergic to shellfish. SO i had to eat from another steamboat. During the Lo Hei mum made Mag speak out what we were supposed to say. She got that form a newspaper article. We didn't really do much excpet watch TV and eat ice-cream. i guess all of us are couch potatoes.
Date ; Tuesday, February 08, 2005 Time ; 3:03 PM Title ; New Years eve at the river Hong Bao We had our Reunion dinner of steamboat. Then we went out to drive around so my maid could mop and sweep the floor. We drove down Orchard Road and it was so empty! So peaceful for once. We drove pass Suntec and it was all closed down. We drove pass the River Hong Bao and decided to see what they had there. So we parked at the Esplanade and walked to the fair. There were rides, games, food shops and shops selling trinkets. Mum bought 2 tokens so i could ride on this horse ride. Yes, it sounds childish but so what? I was the tallest kid who was going to ride it... I got on to a white horse which was the third horse out of the six. I got shocked when it suddenly jerked to a start. I could here neighing sounds and it wasn't what you call slow. The ride was really bumpy. I looked really grand because all the other kids were grabbing on for dear life while i sat up straight and my hair was blowing in the wind. I could here Chinese New Year songs too. Later we walked around to look at the decorations they had put up. There was this man who drops gold stuff at a special time. It was about 9.30 when we saw it and there was quite a crowd already although the "gold" only came down at 10.30. There was this well with bells and you could throw coins and try to hit the bell. Monica and I climbed up a bridge and aimed and we both hit the same bell. Mag totally missed her shot! Haha! After walking aorund we went back to the Esplanade and ate ice-cream and had a vanilla milkshake. That was around 11 somthing pm. We were supposed to stay up until 1am to go out and welcome the new year. I fell asleep of course. Before 1. Hehe... I was so tired!
Date ; Friday, February 04, 2005 Time ; 2:02 PM Title ; Champions!(senior) Yay! The seniors are the champions now too! the beat RGPS 5-0! I saw Pei ting play against Jessica and Nathania. I told Jessica to smash into Pei Ting's court a lot because Pei Ting's scared of the smash. So am I actually... Smily was the first singles and she had a slight fever today. She is so brave! She came to Hougang and played her singles and won comfortably! Thats cool. Jessica Chan played 2nd singles and beat her too... Well everyone beat everyone. Isabelle's sister came with her friend. Joan travelled to Hougang too to support the seniors. Some of the seniors parents came too. Mrs Wong let us buy whatever we wanted and she would pay. So i bought 2 bags of fries. Isabelles brother came too. Joan's chocolate ice-cream fell on to the ground and she dared Isabelle's brother to pick it up and eat it! By the time Isabelle's brother picked it up it was melted! He wiped the chocolate on to Joan's t-shirt and Joan was complaining on how she was going to go out with that shirt again.
Date ; Time ; 1:58 PM Title ; Chinese New Year singing After Assembly we had to do one of the worst things in the world! Chinese New Year singing. Maybe i'm exagerrating(sp?) a bit but still... Mrs Chen was over enthusiastic so its really weird. We had to stand up and do dance moves too. They are not exactly what you call cool. When Mrs Chen pointed to the P1's to sing they were really loud. P2's a bit softer p3's still softer p4's still softer... p5 and p6 combined? Softer than p1's... whenever we were going to sing a different song, all the p1's and p2's will clap and say yay! It is so weird...
Date ; Thursday, February 03, 2005 Time ; 9:22 PM Title ; The bicycle problem Phew! That was hard work! Mum and Monica are out now picking up Mag. I just finsihed arranging some bicycles so the lock thing can put together... Moving around 2 bikes... I am not one of the strongest people you know... Twisting turning. So bothering! At least i finished so i can blog for the day. Once i have finished i have to sleep...Gee... Some kind of night. Ah well. |
